First the red carpet and the whole athmosphere, it was electric! People really missed her and you could feel it. The Bell Center was full packed and she gave 200%.
The changes: instead of Ziggy: l'amour existe encore (wow!) and they didnt cut Shadow of Love.
She got a standing ovation of 3-4 minutes after the speach of My Love and started crying. She cried like 3 times during the show, she completly changed her opening speach, made it quit simple saying that all around the world, what she was really waiting for, was that particular moment, this show in Montréal.
I'm seeing it again tomorrow, then Quebec, then on the 31 and we'll see for february 13...
wow crazy Celine week here!

The opening act was a surprise because René didn't want to tell. I posted it earlier saying it was Véronic DiCaire who is a Québec singer turn recently comedian or..anyway she does imitations now. Apparently she was a big hit, did international singers and local singers and even imitate Céline for which she had a standing ovation. She also had a standing ovation for her imitation of Ginette Reno. I heard all that on TV tonight.

S'il n'en restait qu'une is back, as well as Alone.
Her rendition of l'amour existe encore was really moving and strong. Luc Plamondon was in the room and the way he was looking at her during that show was quit something.
It was MUCH longer than what ive seen in Arras; the standing ovations, her talking with the audience, touching them etc. She was natural, energic, spontaneous, in top shape...
Fun thing; vito luprano, which was fired by Sony Music, was with rene the whole night.
cant wait to see it again tomorrow night!

What do we get? Another old song
Maybe Quebec will still see a change? It's her hometown after all?
Et la vie glisse sur l'eau du temps
La vie resiste, prend son elan
Pour un baiser elle peut se poser
Le temps qui compte est toujours compte
