They should have had the Celine impersonator ( I forget her name!) play the part instead, she can sing a tad better than what was done in the movie. I'm on part 4 right now, it's an interesting movie though some of it seems incorrect, but still it's ok.

Okay, my official opinion (now that I have watched it!)
Aside from all the inaccurate information and wrong dates & times, the singing was...Horrendous! It was awful! The movie was cute, but I could not picture any of it being real, the acting wasn't very great...it could be because I have a different understanding about Celine and her life than what the movie portrayed. The best acing was down by "David Foster" he even looked like him! The accents would fade in and out, which I thought was weird. Therese seemed like a military sergeant which I found awkward, it probably would have flowed better if they had dialogue in French and English captions, and if they got better singers.
Overall, the movie was cute to watch, but not really about Celine...and I did read the credit where it said this movie was inspired by her...they should have named it another title!

Oh my god. I just rented and watched this movie and all I can say is that this movie achieved brilliant levels of
sucking.
Serious blow fest. I'm offended as a fan.
When I first heard about this movie, I was upset because I was supposed to play her. Then I just got really excited that it was made and couldn't wait to see it. Then I heard it was very inaccurate- an understatement.
When I decided not to blow $20 on a movie I heard sucked and rented it, I thought I'd try to go into it with the attitude that maybe it's inaccurate but perhaps it's still a good, viewable film. WRONG!
The casting was terrible with an exception to the guy that played David Foster.
What really bothered me was that they has Celine performing If You Asked Me To in 1987, I Feel Too Much in 1986, then while Rene was in the hospital after his heart attack in 1992, she was away singing Because You Loved Me, then she was introduced to My Heart Will Go On, which was presented to her BEFORE being engaged, then she is shown performing My Heart Will Go On in Las Vegas while Rene is holding a baby Rene Charles.
Not to mention her hair was very long when she had him, which is wrong because she had short hair.
I'm sorry, but I was looking at some posts on IMDB for this movie and was surprised at the comments made about people thinking that was her voice in the movie--heck no!
I didn't read if anyone else made the same comments but I had to share my thoughts and advise no one to ever put money towards this film. If you must see it, rent it cheap.
I hope I have saved you from a lot of pain and sorrow

After FINALLY watching the movie..
I'm sorry but i loved it! so it wasn't accurate... i think the main point in the movie was to show the big picture of Celine's history. she sang as a kid, she met Rene which turned into her manager/lover who is a lot older than her... they get married, move to Vegas and have a baby... Big Picture, just an idea. i'll have to admit i forgot i was watching a movie about Celine at some points, but it still kept me interested, made me laugh and made me cry. personally, i thought Christine Ghawi was a brilliant actress, and i didn't think Enrico Colantoni did half bad either. obviously nobody could even compare to the real Celine and Rene, and we as big fans will notice what wasn't right. ... but as actors i thought they were good.... lol them being in love looked so real and natural to me... i loved that movie and could watch over and over again, and call me deaf but i didn't think her voice was bad... of course again, not comparable to Celine's, but who's is

Sky have a "Hallmark +1" on 205.
I have to say that I HATE this film, with a passion. Its all wrong, the dates ects.
x
P.S Whos ever voice is the "little Celine" has a beautiful singing voice, very trying to sing in Celine style for the role

I'd like to see that movie although I don't have very high expectations for it.
But it's Céline-related after all... I just have to figure out how to get it.

yea I saw this the night it came on the WE(womens entertainment channel) here in America and I wish I'd never watched it,it's a terrible it was very inaccurate like when she was hit by that car as a little girl, she didn't nearly die,she had some bruises and cuts they made it sound like was as good as gone
“There’s nothing I love more than the romance of a night in the theater.”
