And I always have no doubt to these figures.
Estimate based on some datas can't be always right, sometimes too high, sometimes too low.
I prefer to trust what SONY told on WMA 2004 that Celine had sold 175 million albums till 2004 not including her early French albums. So 180-185 million till now is reasonable.

Do you want official informations??? Ok, here you have it but you'll see they lead to confiuson:

1) From Celine's official site news archives section (November 26, 1997):

"After a 15-year professional career and sales of more than 50 million albums in the past five years, Celine is widely recognized"

2) From Billboard: Celine Dion: A Decade of Stardom By Chuck Taylor (December 15, 1999):

"In that time, she has sold 100 million records worldwide, according to label Epic/550 Music, including 27 million copies of each of her last two English-language albums".

5) till Jan 2002: 140.000.000

7) till mid-2004: 150.000.000 (counting since 1995)
8) till Sept 2004: 175.000.000

It would mean that:
- she had to sell 50.000.000 between Nov 1997 and Dec 1999 (possible)
- she had to sell 10.000.000 between Dec 1999 and Jan 2000 (impossible)
- she had to sell 20.000.000 between Jan 2000 and Oct 2000 (impossible)
- she had to sell 10.000.000 between Oct 2000 and Jan 2002 (impossible)
- she had to sell 10.000.000 between Jan 2002 and Jan 2003 (possible)
- she had to sell 25.000.000 between Jan 2003 and Sept 2004 (impossible)

I think the problem is that certifications aren't updated regularly. That's why they get those contradicting numbers. So it doesn't mean that she sold 10.000 copies between 2000/01 and 2000/10 but that in that time they renewed the certifications, and she has already sold 130.000 copies before 2000/10. You have also taken the info from different sources, and for example on the link of SonyBMG Australia it doesn't say where they get the info.

Well, according to WMA Celine has sold till Sep 2004 175 millions albums. My estimations gives us 153 millions. So 22 millions are missing. I have know idea where they are. I know that my estimations can be wrong but where could I lose 22 millions???

I have doubts that 175 millions is correct number. But ok, let's say it is. So after Sept 2004 Celine released 2 albums: Miracle and One Ne Change Pas. I think they have sold together 3,500,000 copies. So that would mean Celine has sold till now:
175 mln + 3,5 mln = 178,5 mln.
IT'S IMPOSSIBLE THAT CELINE HAS SOLD 185.000.000 ALBUMS WORLDWIDE.
It's not reasonable Bellamy.
Because it would mean that Miracle and On ne change pas have sold together 10 millions copies - and that never happenned!

I love Celine and I would love her to sell the most of all. But even Sony numbers lead me to confiuson.

I think the numbers for 1Fille 4Types are higher in France. 1F4T has been rewarded with douple platin after 10 weeks in the charts (18.12.2003 - 2 x Platinum 600,000) and it has been in the charts for 60 weeks, so it must be something between 640.000 and 650.000, because it sold a lot in
its first year, and when On Ne Change Pas came out, it also entered in the back catalogue charts.

Well, I have always been confused about Celine's sellings. Celine has sold 175.000.000 til  9/2004 and it is a fact , even though we cannot find those missing numbers. Probably her albums haven't been certificated in many countries (for instance CD should be 3x platinum in USA, ATW should be 8x platinum e.t.c.).

MY estimation is that Miracle has sold about 3.000.000 + ONCP about 2.000.000. TOTAL 5.000.000

But Celine's previous album's keep on selling copies. For instance, 1Fille re-entered french charts last summer.  IMO those "NEW" 7.000.000-8.000.000 million come from new+old albums.

Those figures are posted by Celine's fan who has made up some numbers (I know him already). Only sales in France is correct.

I don't know, but in Canada it has been certified 3x Platin in January 2006.
And the thing with ONCP is, in some countries like USA they count CDs sold (so everything is x2) and in others they count albums sold. So if she sold 1 million albums, it means she sold twice as much CDs, maybe that's how they get those numbers.
