I know!!! I would've never ever thought that this would happen to me  :in_love:  I have no idea what it really is that determines who she responses.. But I thought that if I just sent her only a letter, which many of her fans might do, it wouldn't stand out. So I made something different  ^_^

Haha I'm very curious too so I get you :laugh:
Well, I think it was the letter mostly. It's really hard to get your thoughts to a paper! I wrote that letter for so many days and finally got the words out of me, so I think that was it. But you'll never know..
And besides the letter I just COULDN'T RESIST.. I was walking through a baby-clothing -section.... And it was just one those days when we heard that she was pregnant with two. So I bought two bodys with "I love mommy" & "I love daddy" ... and then oh gosh I feel so ashamed that I really did it - I bought XL boxers with "SEXY DUDE" on them. To René. I FEEL A BIT AWKWARD ABOUT THEM NOW BECAUSE IT'S SURE THAT THEY HAVE MY PRESENTS NOW AND HE MIGHT BE WEARING THEM.  :sofunny: so I THINK it was the letter and not the boxers.  :hmm:

I know what you mean with being ashamed/awkward now but I really don't think you should feel like that - you've just had a very original and funny idea and who knows, maybe that's what got her! :clap:

Biggest congratulations dear!!!! I know exactly how you feel- I'm honestly still in shock every time I walk by my own little autograph! She must have a box of those photos at her house haha.

If I may, reading your story, I have been laughing my head off for about 10 minutes! Hahaha. That's so funny! You sent it from your heart so of course they don't think u are crazy, I'm sure Celine laughed too and immediately teased him nonstop haha! I can see her there w her sisters all dying from laughter picturing him in those! So cute! Great gifts! Hey look, you stood out and she lived it so much she sent you your own little keepsake! Taking chances!


Bwahahaha I'm still giggling!  That's one of the best fan stories ever in my opinion!

Congratulations Anniina! I love reading the stories in here. I think the trick is to stand out. Celine does not have time to read everybody's letters, so I'm sure the people going through everything for her, choose the ones they think will have the biggest impact on her and forward those. So you have to think outside of the box... or boxers in your case! :sofunny:

I remember once I was in a store and I saw a pair of the cutest froggie slippers. I immediately thought about Celine. I'm so mad at myself for not buying them and sending it to her because now I can't find it anymore.

Aww, congrats!! :) I'm sure Céline loooved the boxers and immediately started teasing René, "Try these on for me, seeexy dude!" :P She loves to laugh, and has the perfect sense of humor to appreciate a gift like that - so does René! Awesome idea! ;)

It's so wonderful knowing your words got to her and that she responded. I got my autograph in 2004 and I still find myself staring at it. :)

Thanks everyone!! :flowers: Oh God now I'm giggling here, I feel sorry for myself because of the boxers..... I get comments from my friends, like "Boxers for Céline Dion's husband?!? Anniina, what the hell?!?"
GOOSHH I just wanna know her reaction!!!! Really. oh my God the boxers really are there.

I still can't believe this. It's just too surreal - everytime I walk past it I find myself staring at it after 5 minutes..
