New Album-A 25 Year Special?

Hey guys, with all the speculation about a new english album in the works and the coinciding 25 year-Celine-in-showbusiness anniversary approaching, I wondered if the album might be a little different to all the others.I was thinking there might be a Celine Duets album, with all her greatest duets- Barbra, R.Kelly, BeeGees, Peabo Bryson, Pavorotti, Andrea Bocelli, Garou, JJGoldman, Destiny's Child Live on CBS special etc and then some new ones like Il Divo-IBIY HAS to be a single and this would be a perfect idea for it to be a success.I think an album like this would sell well and it has some significance in that it would go back to Celine's early career as well and therefore help mark the anniversary.

 

Anyone agree?

Mhm...I'd forgotten all about the Collectors Series Volume One.

 

Yes - What was the point in releasing the album and calling it Volume One and then never following it up with a Volume Two. Unless they plan to release one in the next few years.

 

Also, I agree about not wanting another complination album. I am growing a little tired of old songs being released all over again on new albums. I really would prefer a new album with all newly recorded tracks on it.

I think they'll do the Collector's Series Volume Two when Céline does her second hiatus..

Another view back into her career, when there's no new material (although Sony has still the "not-usen-stuff").. I think Sony even wants to get money from us when Céline's off.

 

In my opinion this would be a good moment to release such an album. All we need right now is an album with real new stuff .

Let's just hope that songs like "In Some Small Way" and such wont be added to the new album like they seemed to have been doing with the last few albums.

I would like Celine to have all new songs, and if she must put a song we already heard on that cd, it should be IBIY with Il Divo.

 

And the Collectors Vol. II would probably make sense to be released on her second Hiatus, and the ideas of Duet Compilation can be thought of in maybe 10 years from now. I know our precious Celine is getting older...but...she still will be around for a long time, and I think i can wait for a compilation album after she comes back.

My guess is Sony would release it in the years after her next studio album. ONCP was just released, don't think it's a good idea to release another album with old tracks. I'd much rather have fresh new material

Dual Disc is a good idea. They should have released On Ne Change Pas as a Dual Disc. Again they are behind time. And : They should release all her early LPs on digitally remastered CDs

definitely not a duet album....it would be a bit dull in my opinion!!!!I would love brand new material with powerful songs and a few strong ballads sung by the best voice!!!!!!Do I ask for too much?
