Paris Hilton’s new toy: an Xbox 360

As it turns out, Hollywood’s star-studded Xbox 360 kick-off party was more than just an opportunity for a couple of meaningless B-list celebs to announce their even more meaningless engagement. It was an opportunity for hardcore gaming addict Paris Hilton to snag a new 360. OK, maybe subtract the “gaming” part from that sentence.

So what will Paris the Heiress do with her new toy? I’m sure she’s aware of the 360’s ability to stream all of her favorite [home] movies and phone cam pics from her Media Center PC to her 50” HDTV. And judging by the white box in that bag, she’s also the proud new owner of one long and lean detachable 360 hard drive (whoa, Nelly!).

The irony of handing out 360s to self-promoting socialites
(who in all likelihood will never even open the box) in the wake of an impending launch shortage is not lost on Xbox-scene. Amen, brother.

I was in the oficial presentation in my island representing the electronic's shop where I work, and I have to say that this XBOX is muchhhhh better that any Playstation, playstation2 or PSP, I recommend it to everybody who loves play with this kinds of games... :thumbup:

not soon. I think it's over demand in USA already. it will release in Japan next, Euro and other Asia countries next. but I expected more from SONY PS3.

I don't think I'll be getting one. I had an X-Box but I hardly ever used it. I'll just wait for the PS3. I'm not the gamer I used to be.

They were only made in very limited numbers in order to generate a lot of buzz and create a dog-eat-dog frenzy at stores that would then create media buzz and then make it look like the "must-have system of the year." It may be awhile until they are distributed around the world, and as far as having one, I don't have time for that stuff. Even when I was a kid I didn't have time for that stuff. I sometimes wonder what adults are sacrificing or ignoring in order to play the games, unless you live alone and only have a part-time job and no hobbies, other than playing the X-box.

Just kidding. I'm sure it's harmless fun...watching blood spurt when you kill someone. Lovely.

I'll wait for the Nintendo Revolution.. The remote control seems kinda fun.. Until then - the only thing I play is my Nintendo DS.. just got Mario Kart DS today..

I know it sounds childish but it's fun ;-)
