fred Posted November 3, 2005 Posted November 3, 2005 I still don't get it. Why Naked one of few high quality tracks of One Heart and the edgiest song of Céline so far weren't given a fair chanse. It was rocky, edgy and Céline. All we wanted. The production is new for her and is perfect with her voice and her voice shows itself as we rarely seen it before - edgy, rough, holding nothing back, exploring and playing and so with such wonder. It was perfect at the time (and still stands a chanse today if released now) and it had extremely high capacity of becoming a hit. Just listen to it, turn the sound up and you can't deny it. This IS a hit. This track could had washed away the MHWGO-image so many people are annoyed by and brought Céline to new hights. If this track would had been played at radio people would sing a long to it and digg it long before they'd realise they were listening to Céline Dion. This isn't Céline Dion who sang safe sugar sweet Foster produced Disney ballads. This is far from that. This is the other side of Céline, the only other side. They have tryed before. But never has it been so right. And it buggs me so that the broad audience never got the chanse to see that. Céline delivers. She delivers it all. She doesn't hold back a second. And she hits those raspy high notes like she's done nothing but singing with Aerosmith her entire life. This is incredible. I advice you all to blow the dust off of that One Heart cd and listen to top volume to this wonder track. The rare exception. It isn't just a step in the right direction - she's already there! She has shown once and for all this gal rocks!! And silence followed. Nothing like it came again (so far). And it takes me to tears knowing this only served as album fill out when the title track itself got to be a single. I really hope this track is given another chanse on the forthcoming album and is being released as a single! /fred Quote Peace and love to all.
AllCeline Posted November 3, 2005 Posted November 3, 2005 This track definately made me giggle. I would've never expected something like this from Celine, but the end result came out amazing! I don't really think it went to wast. I think it was just a song Celine did for fun. I guess it would have done well as a single. That's the kinda stuff the radio tends to play more frequently these days. But One Heart still won TWO awards! And honestly, I love ALL the songs on "One Heart." It was just something new, different... something cool. But I don't think that track went to waste. Mozinha Posted November 3, 2005 Posted November 3, 2005 Is a great song. Maybe my... 3rd favourite on the album... It's a shame it was not a single because it's really good. It's another side of Celine and fitted her perfectly. Oh... you mention I surrender.... that was really a waste. What a wonderful song! danger Posted November 3, 2005 Posted November 3, 2005 Naked IS my fave on the album.. And... you will prob kill me... "I surrender" would be a flop.. couse it's too much of the high emotion "parts" ....and bla bla bla.. but it;s not "I surrender" topic....... Quote
Koolan Posted November 4, 2005 Posted November 4, 2005 I got hooked onto this song the first time hearing it. This is definitely the other side of Celine, edgy, uptempo. It's a sexy song I really wanted this to be a single, it'd bring a new sound to others whom have a different impression of Celine (the love, ballad, slow songs singer).. one_heart_1_hart Posted November 4, 2005 Posted November 4, 2005 Yes they should better release it as a single there's one hit go to waste.... They would put Celine away from her ballad status she has en bring something fresh...But you'll know sony Quote TAKING CHANCES WORLD TOUR8 mei O2 Londen, 13 14 16 mei sportpaleis Antwerpen, 24 mei Palais omnysport Bercy Parijs, 2 juni Arena Amsterdam, 7 juli Arras

Céline's Blues Posted November 4, 2005 Posted November 4, 2005 Fred, I sure hope and wish you and all of us that the upcoming English album will be a good straight and SOLID pop record where neither you or anyone else will say "there are releasing the wrong songs" since every single one should be a really strong contender for shwoing a different (poppy, but a solid poppy) side of Céline's.
