Céline at "500 Choristes Ensemble", TF1

Sorry. Terrible sound. The only thing that can save the performance for me is her perfect live visual presence. PLEASE! Take away that d..n stupid choire. At some points the song doesn't suit to the rythme...Celine is late sometimes, feels like forgeting her part.

It's not a song - it's a porridge. Outmeal.

OK, after watching the video I have to say that it could have been SO MUCH BETTER. She started off VERY VERY WELL, PERFECT FLAWLESS AMAZING, but then her second solo part came and she was late so she rushed through it. Johnny on the ohter hand was great, truly great. But the forkers have turned off her microphone at the end and that is the reason you could hear only Johnny and the chour, she was just shut off...

 

Oh, and after hearing a high quality video I must say her voice was so good. Really rarely I have heard her voice being so flexible and powerful the last years.

Thanks for the screencaps and the video of L'envie. Well I feel a little disappointed perhaps too much excitement the last weeks but after wathing the duet a couple times it's starting to grow on me more and more. I know things could be better firstly NO chorists they ruin the song and secondly more empathy between them beacuse I feel there are empty spaces. Céline don't gets into the rhythm sometimes and Johnny seemes goes by his side.

I Would love to see the duet live again but without the chorists!.

 

by the way I loved all her gestures! Céline looking so damn good but the clothes oh boy.

WHY does she playback PQTME???? I saw her sing it live in Vegas this last September and it was SO good... Why not sing LIVE???? Its a shame, when you have a voice like that you should sing live more often, I think! I understand she has to save her voice sometimes, but she playbacks at many tv-shows... For me 'l'envie' was a magic moment, the best performance in a European TV till long, long time. The timbre in her voice, the correspondence with J. Hallidays voice, her look, her charisma. Just perfect. Thats the reason why I was fallen in love with her long years ago. They have to put this Duet on the next french album (or on the next edition of the best-of 'on ne change pas') - it's too good for ignore!

 

But who the hell came to the decision to combine the songs 'pqtme' and 'ssda' with the 500 chorists? Jesus - the best song on earth will going down with this endless choir bla-bla-la-la-la-huuuuuuuuuuu especially so fine songs like this two ones. They are made for celebrating simplicity, modesty and the pure sense of the words... And than this bombastic drama in the background!

 

But who cares? Celine herself made a great, great job. Thank you for giving us songs and moment like this evening.

It seems the the 500 choristes was overpowering Celine's voice in L'envie. I did like Celine's hand movements during the song. Something just didn't look right, it's as if she's being rushed. the 500 choristes ruined SSD and PQTME

One of the most terrible thing about PQTME this time is not that it was playback, but it is absolutely empty faces of the chorists while they were singinf THIS song.

Doesn't matter for them for which song yell their "a-a-a-a-a". There're many of them. Too many.
