I can't quite believe the wonderful things you guys have said about my "hero" song, I nearly cried! :blushing: Many of you have requested that I upload another song for you. I don't have the capability to record another song at the moment (belive me I have lots of backing tracks I would love to put to good use! :msn-wink: ) so this is another one of my tracks from my fun time in the studio! :w00t:

This one is my take on Tina Turners "River Deep, Mountain High" I did my best to do it justice, but it's not an easy song to sing and I'm a bit embarrased about my improvs - they didn't turn out quite the way I'd hoped! :rolleyes: But I did my best!

Hey there, you commented on one of mine, and thanks for that. I was able to download Your song and I nearly fainted. You have an incredible voice, you draw some lines on and dont copy other's styles and alot of people do. I loved this version.

But...one thing, well a few...you were struggling a bit with the high notes, and I noticed you went an octave lower, i usualy try to do it the way celine does it, but not to copy her. you were struggling a bit, but overall I loved the version. You sound like Kelly Clarkson a tiny bit, hope you ain't offended, coz I really like her. I would love to hear more of your stuff. btw what age are you? and remember for the higher notes that you struggle with use your diaphragm.

any way loved it, keep it up! :clap:

Ermm, thanks lol! The song probably was in a different key to Celine's version, but that's because it was the backing track for Tina Turners Version of the song - not sure if they use the same key. I've never had a good range, I wanted to take lessons, but could never afford it. I'm thirty now, so there's not much point. I try not to sound like other people when I sing, I certainly would never try to sound like Celine, I could never pull that off! :shocking: But to be honest I don't want to. I think it's important to sing the way you feel comfortable not to try and sound like someone else, other wise it just sounds forced and unnatural, IMO.

omg your voice is amazing :in_love: it's also made very very professional...in a studio right? so it'S easy there to sound good because there are so many technical opportunities to make your voice perfectly sound. so it will be really interesting if you record yourself live where the quality is not so good. so we can see if your voice is really sooo good as in the studio.

Be extremely careful with your breathing and make sure you have lessons or furhter vocal training because you're forcing your voice and not letting it come naturally :thumbsup2:

I don't agree, I think here we can hear her voice just as it is. When you record yourself with cheap microphones and not in a studio, you get a sample of your voice that doesn't match to the real sound of the voice.

And after reading Lisa had no singing lessons.... wow! Hope I could sing like this with no training!

To C Records, don't take this too seriously, :msn-wink: I recorded the cd for fun, I only entered a local karaoke competition and was offered the chance to put some songs on cd, so I did. I realise I'm not an amazing singer - I don't kid myself there! lol! But this is just for fun, I'm not going to tire my voice out - I only sing in the shower these days! lol! But thanks for the tips, I'm sure other people here who want to make a career in singing will find this useful. :thumbsup2:

Lisi, I really didn't have any special effects put on my voice, but what the studio allowed me to do was get a clear recording with good sound levels and no background noise. So you can really hear my voice! In fact I could probably get away with sounding bad if I was recording at home as the sound is not so clear! lol! I'm glad you think it sounded good though! :thumbsup2:

Seahawk, nope, I didn't have any singing lessons, but ever since I can remember I have been singing! There are pictures of me as a toddler, holding a hairbrush to my mouth and pretending to be on top pf the pops! The only trouble is, I've never been as good as I wanted to be. I wish I had been able to take singing lessons, I would have had the confidence to push myself and go professional! I guess that's going to be my one big "if only" :rolleyes:

You have an amazing talent and voice, and you can be a professional.

I always loved to sing, but before my singing lessons..... I was a complete disaster. Even now I'm not good, but now there is an abyss between my voice before and after the training.

:blushing: thank you so much for the compliment! I really enjoyed singing this song, so I'm glad you like it too! The backing track is the one in the style of Tina Turner, slightly different to Celine's version. It's a bit edgier, a bit more rock and roll! lol!

Wow, your voice is so crystal clear! Although it may not be as powerful as mariah's, the clarity and emotions that your voice possesses is more than enough to make up for the lack of dynamic factor in your voice. Great job! But I cannot seem to download your rendition of ' River deep, mountain high', can you upload it somewhere else? It would be very much appreciated.

I think you did a great job. I like your arabesque. Maybe you should work on how to keep the note and do not break it. BTW, I think you did an amazing job on this song.
