Koolan Posted October 22, 2005 Posted October 22, 2005 Ummm, the closest encounter to death was in summer of 2003 when me and my buddy was on our way back from Sam's Club. We were returning to my apartment in a car in the afternoon. After we merged onto the highway on the right lane, then on the corner of my eye, I saw a big truck on the left lane..I don't know what it was trying to do (maybe driver fell asleep, swerving onto our lane).. my buddy continued going straight without slowing down..he was unaware.. then it was getting really really close.. and I immediately screamed to let him know.. he then immediately turned the steering wheel to avoid a collission.. the car swerved left and right several times. afterwards, it was complete silence..he was in total disbelief, so was I. Luckily, traffic was light or else it could have been much worse. The truck was literally inches from side-swiping us. Phewwwww, I've never forget that day. Hmmmm the latest close encounter was about 2 months ago, I was driving on the highway to go pick up my mom at work, and this totally random truck was driving against traffic!! Krys Posted October 22, 2005 Author Posted October 22, 2005 Vic...you are one lucky guy! my dangerous encounter was 3 years back...i was asleep in my bed and around 5am sirens started ringing on the ground floor of the apartment. there was a fire somewhere in the same block. i bolted from the bed and grabbed my windbreaker (as it was winter). dashed down to the ground floor using a dark stairway...i was living on the 14th floor and the fire was on the 21st floor...if nobody had realized the fire would have melted the building's frame.
