Filine Posted October 12, 2005 at 09:39 AM Posted October 12, 2005 at 09:39 AM Hi everyone!!!!! Guess who's back! I am back and I am still in Paris with my head. It's been such crazy days...but gaaaaawd how I loved it!!. We had to leave for Paris a day early because the train personal in Belgium would strike on Friday. We heard about that like on Wednesday evening after I came back from working a night shift and I was already worried that we wouldn't get there at all. On Thursday I was at work and I was wondering how the hell we were going to pull it off. My friend Stéphanie was able to call the Thalys (fast train from Amsterdam to Paris) at work and they said we HAD to get traintickets for thursday evening because Saturday morning was already full. I realized I had a huge problem. I had to work until 4 p.m. and had to be in Amsterdam to catch the train at 6.55 p.m. almost impossible. So I asked my collegues "Is it possible to leave at 3.45 p.m.?" And they immediately said..."Why don't you go at 3 p.m." I was like YES because I was still halfway my packing. At 2.30 p.m. where were doing some of the administratial duties and then one of my collegues said: "Who is in favour of sending Cindy home..." and then they all raised their hands. I was like awwwww, that was so sweat. And they all wished me good luck and I was off. I had like 30 minutes to grab my stuff and I hurried over to the station. I arrived in Amsterdam at 5.45 p.m. We took the Thalys at 6.55 p.m. and when we finally sat in the train, there was the next problem to consider. Where were we going to stay. We hadn't had the time to book another night in a hotel so when we arrived in Paris at 11 p.m. we decided to go to the hotel we already had booked the other nights. There they told us that they had only one room with 2 single beds and we were with four. We decided to take the room. And believe it or not we slept with four people in two single beds. It's was crazy but hey we had a roof and something soft to lay on LOL Needless to say we hardly slept at all...next morning we first went to search for some breakfast. We were right at the Champs Elysees so it was expensive, but it was a great breakfast. Then we were off to the George V hotel. There were already at least 20 fans waiting when we arrived around noon. By the time it was 4 p.m. the number had grown 'til at least 100. Then there was Céline's car that they drove in front of the entrance, a blue limousine. Manon (Céline's sister) came out first. Since it was her birthday on October 7th everybody started singing Happy Birthday in French and she was so moved She was right in front of us and I said to her "Happy Birthday, Manon!!!" and she said "Awwww Merciiii" It was so wonderful. Next Marilou (René's new protegé) came out but most people didn't recognize her. Next people started shouting "Céeliiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiine" and there she was in a gray suit with gorgeous boots. Her hair so long and straight. She looked so beautiful, relaxed and happy. She was singing autographs, shaking hands, talking to people...and then she got in the car and was off to Star Académy. We were talking with some French fans all the others had rushed off. And then we were like with 10 fans left. Linda (Céline's sister) and Alain (Linda's husband) came out with René-Charles. They put him in the car and we stayed on the sidewalk and we kept silent and carefully, softly waved at him. And then he smiled and waved back at us, soooo cute He pointed at us in amazement...he's so adorable. It's the first time I saw him, since he was born...so it was really special. Ok we decided to go relax, eat something...Céline wouldn't be back until much later. Or so we thought. We went to the FNAC (Record store) on the Champs Elysees to look for the 'Je Ne Vous Oublie Pas' single (didn't find it) and then when we came out there were sooooo many people (500-1000 probably) right in front of an arcade next to the planet hollywood. And we were all wondering... "Which star could be here???" we all thought it was Catherine Zeta-Jones...because we heard she would be in Paris too. And then we heard someone shout "Céliiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiineeeeeeeee" and we were like. "Which nutter is shouting Céline's name.." and then it hit us when we saw a glimpse of her face rushing off to the car with 12 security people and 6 police officers. It WAS Céline. And we were like "OH - MY - GOOOOOOD" we saw her again in the time span of only an hour. There was a lady passing out Belong parfum samples and she told us Céline had just done an interview inside. After eating we went back to the hotel and watched Star Academy, it was live so we knew we had to rush back to the George V the moment Céline disappeared from the screen. It was such an emotional broadcast. Céline looked totally overwhelmed and emotional. She cried...and she almost made me weep when at the performance of one of the girls, the microphone didn't work and Céline rushed over to give the girl her own microphone. She kept reassuring her and holding her hand while she was singing. I couldn't believe she did that!! It was exactly the thing that makes us love her so much! Ok after the broadcast we went back to George V (there were like 150 fans again) and when the car arrived they told us to wait silently. Nick (Céline's personal bodyguard) said everybody would get an autograph. Céline stayed in the car and signed for everybody. Then she came out of the car waved at everybody and went in. Can you believe that she takes the time to sign 150 items!! The next day on saturday I met Fanny!!!!!! She arrived just in time because Céline was about to leave, I think she had a day off. The car was already in front of the entrance. We first saw René and René-Charles he had a lot of fun pushing the rotating door of the hotel. There was some press and one photographer was in front. Céline came out and she posed with René and René-Charles. Then they put RC in the car. He was so cute and he still didn't like all those people very much...but he didn't seem so scared as he has before. Céline looked gorgeous again...even without make-up. Around midnight they came back to the hotel and René-Charles had fallen asleep in the car. On Fanny's video we can see how in the car Céline carefully covers RC's head and hands him over to Linda. Everybody went totally silent for him and Linda carried him inside. Then Céline came out and she was so happy and she waved, blew kisses. I was right behind the car and she was touching everybody's hands. She couldn't reach me so she jumped to touch my hand. Soooo cute. We said to her: "Céline, Holland loves you" and she said "awwwww, I love Holland tooooo" then she went inside. The next day, on sunday, Céline left quickly for 500 choristes but graciously as ever. She returned at 2.30 a.m. and even though she was sooooo tired (and so were we ) she again started to sign autographs. Everybody got one again and everybody was very silent, waiting patiently. When Céline came to sign one of my friends' picture (Céline laying on a bed with all her shoes) she said "ohhhh, that's exactly how I am feeling right now" LOL and then she went in and everybody wished her 'Bonne nuit'. On monday she left at 4.15 p.m. for Vivement Dimanche. She was already late so it was very short. But she waved to everybody. After Vivement Dimanche we knew she had to rush over to a telethon show, which would be broadcasted live. So we watched the show and we were ready to leave immediately for the George V the moment she left the show. We rushed over the Champs Elysees bought two roses and a card in like 2 minutes and ran to the hotel were we wrote the card. Céline arrived within 15 minutes...whew just in time. I was lucky enough to be way in front...my friend Suzanne filming right over my shoulder. I was standing there with the roses and the card. Very calm, very silent...waiting until Céline came my way. Then she was right there in front of me, signing autographs. I handed someone of security the flowers and the card and then started to softly call her name: "Céline, Céline..." and there I had her full attention. She stopped signing and looked straight at me and I said to her: "Céline, I want to wish you a safe trip home...and I want to say hi from all the fans in Holland" and then she looked at me, smiled and said "Thank you...Thank you so very much" It was so incredibleeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee....I LOVE HERRRRRRRRRR Next day we had to go home....pictures sooooon Xx... Yesterday Toto called me and she told me you've met each other. She asked me if I still remember you, Suus and Egbert from our meeting in Belgium. Hey ho ... what a question!?!?!
