I haven't watched it but from what the others say she didn't quite hit the first note on "j'aurais voulu être un Artiste" - as soon as she wanted to hit the A-vowel she lost the track a lil. NOT MUCH. It was supposedly less apparent than her false note on the Junos 99 but it still proves how hard the song live is. She still HIT IT but not as perfect. It was better than the Junos, of course - at least this one note. Oh and they showed some seconds of the ending of the song. They say she sounded bombastic.<{POST_SNAPBACK}> in an interview Céline said she didn"t sing well because the show was recorded when she was tired due to the time difference. It was recorded during her first or second day in Paris.

Her voice doesn't need to be be in top shape to sing this song, she still can give her very best to sing it like she did on Junos in 1999 and in Zenith 1995. PS. GOOD GOD I just listened to those 5 sec of the preview. They are F L A W L E S S. Truly flawless. She has never sounded better. It may be her second best rendition vocally just after her VOCAL ORGY from 1991 when she was dressed up as buisnessman on stage and sang her heart out. But no, 15 years ago she sounds amazing, at least only on this little verse. O M G It sounded NOTHING like the tired voice from 1999. Top notch. But not on TV5 Europe. Last year's Symphonic Show was broadcasted on TV5 Europe. I find bizarre they didn't show the new one, too. Let's hope they will show Céline's Symphonic at least. I was really disappointed when they didn't let her sing it for the 25th anniversary show of Starmania, and this other person who sang it you could really hear that she wasn't anywhere near Céline.And the performance at 1999 Juno Award was good. I mean she had that little crack at the beginning and you can hear it, but the whole song was great, emotional, theatrical, excellent. I don't know what you have

thevoice Posted December 27, 2005 at 02:17 PM Posted December 27, 2005 at 02:17 PM i just saw the promo...my feeling is that her voice was really NOT on top shape that evening...god i hope she nailed it anyway cause i'm wating for this performance for months now she hit that note but her voice was a bit shaky and she changed it a bit so instead of a long note it was much shorter with a yeahh at the end .again - it's too short to tell and celine herself said she was tired - i really hope i'm not expecting too much
