I started watching this when I was in middle school and it was very funny at that time. Now, it have changed but not much. It isn't nearly as funny as before, some stuff are starting to become bit dry. It started airing when I was 5, and now I'm 24 and I make it a point to catch the Simpsons every Sunday. It's one of my favorite shows ever, and I hope it never ever EVER goes off the air. I don't know about the rest of the world, but it's definately a huge part of American culture. Quote

It's one of those shows (like Friends) that I know I like but sometimes don't watch then, as soon as I watch it I remember just how amazing it is. Clever, original, insightful and extremely funny. Recent episodes have not been as successful in my opinion. It's still funny but struggling for ideas. But that is not surprising given how long it has been running... Lesser shows would have disappeared into oblivion a long time ago. I just hope they get more ideas soon or call it a day before it loses too much steam. I personally think the movie was great and shows promise for the series as we can see the team still has what it takes to make a quality show.
