scorp82 Posted January 16, 2008 at 04:57 AM Posted January 16, 2008 at 04:57 AM (edited) You're still young, explore your sexuality first. Having a boyfriend is a commitment, are you prepared for it? Just don't be promiscuous! Your health and well-being are very important! And remember to always have self-respect and self-worth! Edited January 16, 2008 at 04:59 AM by scorp82
scorp82 Posted January 16, 2008 at 05:00 AM Posted January 16, 2008 at 05:00 AM Being single is something im looking fwd , meeting guys and traveling for sure will be fun for me as a single gay man. Good luck!!Enjoy the single life! Dance the night away, meet tons of new people. Just be safe. Safety first!!!! Agree with Jose here... I ended a relationship this past december and now I just wanna have fun by travelling and doing some serious stuff as well...like thinking about my career and finishing school... Simon, if you dont mind me giving you a small advice, methinks you should probably think about your studies and career now. And when you're not looking for anyone special, that's when that special person pops in. But keep your eyes open, too. Cheers! Yes, I agree with this... Definitely think about school and your future career! Great piece of advice.

Love, Posted January 16, 2008 at 01:47 PM Posted January 16, 2008 at 01:47 PM (edited) Hi, i'm a 17 yr old gay guy in the UK and I REALLY need a bf lol....its been a year since my last relationship and its kinda gettin me down a bit now!!I just want someone 2 love me 4 who i am and be proud to call me theirs...i just want love and respect, hugs and kisses, devotion and care!!Anyone interested in gettin 2 know me? SimonXXxxXXSimon, I'm not too much older than you, and I'm not going to even call what I'm going to say an advice - but I'm going to say them anyway. I don't have as much experience as some people here when it comes to love, romance and relationship. Here are some ramblings and reflections on love... Several days ago, I watched a film called "Love, Actually" (I think, for the 20th time - I LOVE the film!) - a wonderful collection of narratives involving different people experiencing love in different ways, different issues, and in different places. In the film, a man who had just lost his wife was worried about his young boy of 8 or 9 years old because he was just loitering in his room every time he comes back from school. His father was worried that the boy had gone into a depression, because of his mother's death. One day, the father asked his child what was going on - and the child finally told the truth - the truth being that he was... IN LOVE. His son was in love with a young girl at the school and he could not yet find a way to get to her. The father chuckled a bit and wondered if his son was serious about it. The son was! The conversation ended with the son affirming his father: "What can be a deeper agony than being in love?" At most times, having that desire for love or searching for love, can be such a painful, heartbreaking experience when you don't get what you expect or want. People always say that love comes to you when you least expect it. It's not always true. Love is not passive - it's a two-way street. So, it's worth keeping your eyes open for love, you have to act upon it, and seize those opportunities. But remember that love comes first from within yourself. That's why I posted the song "The Greatest Love of All" as a prelude to this post. You said: "I just want someone 2 love me 4 who i am and be proud to call me theirs...i just want love and respect, hugs and kisses, devotion and care!!" These attributes need from within yourself first. Prepare yourself for this journey of love by "loading up" yourself with self-confidence, self-respect, and self-esteem - soon enough you'll be ready. And don't get me started on age! Just do what you need to do. But as Dhruv has mentioned - don't stray away from education and career. This has a direct impact on your preparation for the journey of love. HAHA God forbid, if nothing turns out your way in the future, you will still have your intangible assets of education, of skills, and the tangible necessities such as food, shelter and clothing. LOL Now, in closing - like Barbra Streisand had mentioned in her film "The Mirror Has Two Faces" with the regards to the question of Why people would suffer so much in the name of love? Well - the way she answered it makes perfect sense: "BECAUSE IT FEELS SOOOO F***ING AMAZING!!!" Good luck! Edited January 16, 2008 at 01:48 PM by Love,

Maybe it is too much to ask for... Don't wait for it honey, it will come eventually in some very unexpected ways. I tell you. Love do moves in mysterious ways. That is very true... Even if it comes in most "cliché" way you can possibly think of, LOL, like it happened to me even though it didn't last long because of distance. But well... One has to move on with life. The thing is, what some people have been saying it's true. Most of the times it is worthless trying to look for that special person, because you end up being disappointed a lot of time. For it to happen you don't need to be constantly looking for stuff. All you have to do is keeping yourself open to the idea of meeting people and not isolate yourself. Go out, have fun, meet people, but just don't expect to find TheOne (LOL... I might add) everywhere. Take what it's given to you, and you will have a nice surprise one of these days Until there, do what we queens do best: put a diva CD playing and moan... (early Whitney is perfect )

Also, make sure you get out there and socialize (give yourself the opportunity to meet that special person). Also, don't stress about it, it will happen when the time is right. Good luck. Boy Posted August 22, 2008 at 02:33 PM Posted August 22, 2008 at 02:33 PM Well, as for I've been Celine's fan since I was 5. But I became a real die hard fan only about 6 years ago. Still, 15 years makes it a big "track of time". I'm 20 now. As for the topic itself. I'm gay. Single. Considered to be a very weird person. So I'm lonely. Not quite looking for anybody. I'm tired of what and who I'm given. I don't want them. And vice versa. I expect very much. Because I'm ready and willing to give a lot. But who cares... No big deal... I want more. Love comes to those who believe it...
CelineAndRene Posted August 23, 2008 at 06:55 PM Posted August 23, 2008 at 06:55 PM (edited) Probably off topic.. but these 2 guys come into Subway A LOT, and always together.. and at the end of the line they were laughing etc.. and I just blurted out "Are you guys dating?!" and they just said "Yeah.. 4 Months Now" It was so cute.. Just a really cute couple.. Edited August 23, 2008 at 06:55 PM by CelineDionFREEEK "...It's the circle of life. You gotta look forward. ErwinG Posted August 24, 2008 at 02:15 AM Posted August 24, 2008 at 02:15 AM I guess I am the oldest one here ... I have been single for the past 5 years ... and I have been loving it so far ... ofcourse, there comes a time when you feel the need to have a relationship ... but living in Aruba it does get complicated in all the ways possible ... everybody knows each other here and we get to see each other once or twice per week and maybe more ... Its not about having that special person in your life, but its about having the time to be with the person ... doing stuff together and spending a life-time together ... and when you are not really ready for a commitment, things can get complicated ... you should be able to talk and trust that special someone ... and if you are single, being able to have safe sex is a must ... My last relationship was a 10-year relationship and up to now, my ex and I are still good friends ... even though I say I am not looking for Mr. Right ... when he comes into my life I will know he is the one ...
