New English Album?

Like someone said before - a good album WITH good promotion can't happen before 2008. So I think she should release the new french record next year, 'cause in french she IS STILL THE CELINE DION! She don't need much promotion in these country's, and BTW she doesn't care if a french album is a success or not. And she doesn't need to. She's always been an real artist both in english and in french, but in English she has to proof now that she can still do it. So she's going to need promo, HQ- and radio-friendly songs. For a french record - it would be almost a 'self-runner' IMO! So 2007 French album, appearance on the OT-soundtrack and the AND-DVD; 2008 English album!

Hopefully 2007 will be celine's comeback. However, I consider it would be better for her to release her new album in the spring of 2008, after finishing her vegas show. I would love to see something totally new, and i don't mean the songs only, but on its sound. Have you listen christina's new material? something like that would be so cool. By the way, I read that christina was releasing a duets album later this year (after back to basics), in which celine could appeared, have you heard about this rumor? i just read it once and i havent been able to confirm it.

I would love to have a new album this year, but since we haven't heard any official news I doubt that will happen. I think waiting to 2008 is too long. Yes she will have more time to promote the CD in 2008, but she has made it clear that she will be taking a break right after Vegas so for all of you who are dreaming for a tour or a big album promotion, I wouldn't hold my breath for it. I think she will release a new album in 2007 around the Oceans 13 promotion. If promoted right by Sony with a TV special, radio promtions, etc. it can be very successful. Maybe we will get two CDs in 2007, one in the summer and another around Christmas. I really want something soon, but I can wait as long as it is a good album.

What? What is this? Do they actually think these old French albums are gonna sell??? It wont be long till we here them complain "She doesn't sell any good anymore that's why we didn't release a live cd/DVD from the LTAL tour (English) and that's why you won't get the AND DVD... Well that would be no wonder since they are releasing ol stuff no one is interested in, and when even the show little interest, how do they think it's gonna be with the rest of the world?

I think these older albums and songs are being released in "honor" of Celine's 25th Anniversary. I don't think that they are meant to be "big" sellers or chart toppers, but only as a tribute to "The Best Singer In The World".

I just learned that Céline was supposed to release a new Xmas album for the Xmas season in 2006. She was also supposed/has recorded(?) Xmas songs with David. These 5 songs were meant to be there among others. The project has been abandoned. No word of David working with Céline on her next straight pop album, either. Seems all quiet now. I wonder what caused Céline and Reney to give up on the project.

Well, as we all want a new English album to be released when she can promote it properly, a X-mas album this year would be great!

It is something for the fans, and she doesn't need to promote it, 'cause it's not a big release..

 

Then she can release a big English album after Vegas and promote it.

 

I don't see the problem, so release this year a X-mas album. It would be a great deal..

Yea it was talk about this a year ago right? So everyone waited it to be released Christmas 2005, but it never came so we just thought it was rumours... It was also said that he worked with Josh Groban at the same time on a Christmas album, but it never came either right? And so many of you Groban fans were so exited since you were hoping for a duet (or was it rumours about that too??).

this topic drives me insane: i cannot wait for a new album! hopefully, it will receive adequate promotion, and rave reviews. CELINE can so do it; she just needs to switch things up a bit in terms of song selection, producers, and general vision.

 

i'd have to say that A NEW DAYS HAS COME and ONE HEART, although very different, are both albums that i enjoy immensely; however, she needs, still, more edge, in terms of what she's doing, but whatever; who am i?

 

i'm grateful for all the music she has sent my way thus far...

it's very hard for me to say it because i cant wait to hear new ENGLISH songs from celine but - i want celine to wait until the end of her vegas deal and not release anything until then .

i think it's important for her to take this time off , it's important for the people to miss her and it's important that she'll be able to promote it right.

ocean's 13 is a great opportunity to do the build up for the album with an amazing first single - but u have to remmember that we r talking about celine's team and sony : if i learned something during the years is - they r doing everything wrong , they just cant do it right - hopefuly this time it would be diffrent.

sadly, the Ocean's 13 thing isn't going to happen...

ocean's 13 is a great opportunity to do the build up for the album with an amazing first single - but u have to remmember that we r talking about celine's team and sony : if i learned something during the years is - they r doing everything wrong , they just cant do it right - hopefuly this time it would be diffrent.

we know nothing for sure but it's almost certain that celine will do a cameo in the movie and there r more than rumors about her being part of the soundtrack.

Gogo, let her do jazz in English. Who cares if it'll sell 5 millions but it WILL. Europe loves jazz and she will sell 1 million in America anyway!
