Mozinha Posted September 9, 2005 at 01:50 PM Posted September 9, 2005 at 01:50 PM (edited) I had watched this last January when I was in Vegas and I could hardly remember it by now. They showed the best moments from after the show. Céline was telling she did want to have a normal life and do the dishes and take care of her house and let the people who do this all their lifes now experience a bit of her life. They showed a few seconds of Céline singing beautiful boy and some pics of René-Charles. What really got me mad was the comments by Oprah. She was saying something like: they already have 17000 pictures of this kid, I bet he wants another member to come to this family because he needs a break from all this attention. He can't stand all this attention. I thought this was so rude from Oprah, especially because she was all smiles when Céline was talking about RC on the showing and sharing their family pics with her... VanMerlin Posted September 9, 2005 at 02:50 PM Posted September 9, 2005 at 02:50 PM Even Celine has said that RC gets SO much attention...everyone in the family wants to hold him and spoil him, and cuddle the blonde, blue-haired boy in the family to the point where she has to take him away and give him some peaceful moments. It was an honest comment from Oprah and I bet Celine understands that completely. Even RC must get overwhelmed, so Oprah was probably accurate instead of rude. Quote
Mozinha Posted September 9, 2005 at 03:23 PM Author Posted September 9, 2005 at 03:23 PM So why didn't she said that to Céline instead of telling it when she was not there? I just think the education of RC is none of her business, none of our business, shouldn't even be discussed because it has nothing to do with anyone else than Céline and René. So I just thought it was plain rude. LD1977 Posted September 9, 2005 at 04:51 PM Posted September 9, 2005 at 04:51 PM Hm, I think Oprah was only joking, I did not see it as anything rude of her. It's like Oprah, she makes such jokes more often. I think she has great respect for Céline and would never put her down. Proud to be a woman, remember? Belle Céline Posted September 9, 2005 at 06:00 PM Posted September 9, 2005 at 06:00 PM I dont see anything rude about what she said ,after all its true I am sure RC thinks the same thing. Lawna Posted September 10, 2005 at 01:46 AM Posted September 10, 2005 at 01:46 AM yeah Oprah says things only from "observation" she would never say anything intentional to hurt Celine or be rude, she jokes around a lot and sometimes it may offend some people, but it's just Oprah's personality. Besides, I think Oprah truly has a great respect for Celine, but I see where you are coming from Monica, if I heard what Oprah said I might have been a little upset, but then I would just brush it off because I know she doesn't mean anything hurtful by it Quote They go crazy for you because they know you're true. --Celine Dionhttp://i830.photobucket.com/albums/zz226/Congenialdiva/myspacelink.jpgFollow Me on Twitter!Visit Me on Facebook!
Mozinha Posted September 10, 2005 at 08:19 AM Author Posted September 10, 2005 at 08:19 AM I don't think she did it on purpose to hurt Céline or to damage her image. She just joked. And it was not only about Céline, she was also making a joke at Gwyneth Paltrow and I thought that was rude. I just think some jokes are not funny at all. But that is just me.
