~Lady~ Posted August 18, 2005 Posted August 18, 2005 If you woke up this morningwith more health than illness, you are more blessed than themillion who won't survive the week. If you have never experiencedthe danger of battle, the loneliness of imprisonment, the agony of torture orthe pangs of starvation, you are ahead of 20 million peoplearound the world. If you attend a church meetingwithout fear of harassment, arrest, torture, or death, you are more blessed than almostthree billion people in the world. If you have food in your refrigerator, clothes on your back,a roof overyour head and a place to sleep, you are richer than 75% of this world. If you have money in the bank,in your wallet, and spare changein a dish someplace, you are amongthe top 8% of the world's wealthy. If your parents are still married and alive, you are very rare, especially in the United States. If you hold up your head with a smileon your face and are truly thankful, you are blessed because the majority can,but most do not. If you can hold someone's hand, hug themor even touch them on the shoulder, you are blessed because you canoffer God's healing touch. If you can read this message, you are more blessed than overtwo billion people in the worldthat cannot read anything at all. You are so blessed in waysyou may never even know. If you are feeling blessed, repay the blessings bestowed unto you and do something for others. A blessing cannot be kept. If it stops with you, then the blessing will disappear. The blessing will only keep working if it is continuously passed around. If you are a recipient of a blessing, keep the blessing working by being the source of blessing to other people. Quote
raluca Posted August 18, 2005 Posted August 18, 2005 thanks Ralu for it! never thought like that Quote J'aimerais tant savoir Souffler comme le vent Sur ton doux visage Faire partir le noir, disparaître le temps Casser les nuages Parler même tout bas Juste pout toi et moi De petits riens Mais là-bas Au loin, tu nages... http://static.eventful.com/store/stickers/flash/assets/split/300x45_mid-black.gifhttp://static.eventful.com/store/stickers/flash/assets/split/300x30_bottom-black.gifView all Bucharest events at Eventful
VanMerlin Posted August 18, 2005 Posted August 18, 2005 And yet, we all suffer different things. Sure, we are all blessed, but we all suffer pain. Everyone is equally as blessed and tortured as anyone else. Quote

1Celine12 Posted August 18, 2005 Posted August 18, 2005 (edited) I think every part of this is true. I am blessed to even be able to chat with you guys. I am also blessed to be able to have friends like you that care. May GOD bless you and your families. Not everyone endures pain. Even if a loved one does die that loved one would want us to go on living life instead of mourning over their death. Know what I mean? If we keep mournming over their death, we will eventually go into a deep depression. "Live life to its fullest." And also,"Think of the positive not the negetive." That second one is what Céline says. Keep that in mind the next time you are mourning over the death of a loved one. Edited August 18, 2005 by 1Celine12 Quote
VanMerlin Posted August 18, 2005 Posted August 18, 2005 (edited) There are a million more types of pain than just mourning over a loved one. The only way to escape pain is to be the loved one who dies...which is why I don't mourn death much. Edited August 18, 2005 by VanMerlin Quote
1Celine12 Posted August 18, 2005 Posted August 18, 2005 I don't mourn death much either. That's why I said that about loved ones. I didn't mean anything bad about what I said. All I said was that we really don't need to mourn for long periods of time, that's all. Quote
1Celine12 Posted August 19, 2005 Posted August 19, 2005 What do you think of what I said in my first post? I think what I said in my first post is true. Quote
raluca Posted August 19, 2005 Posted August 19, 2005 about pain....i read in My story,my dream this: "you forget your hurt when it causes itself to be forgotten". if i'm not mistaken it was when she was speaking about Karine. that's something that i keep in mind! 1Celine12 Posted August 20, 2005 Posted August 20, 2005 There's a quote that I like from Dana Reeve widow of actor Christopher Reeve. It goes like this,"I hope before too long to be sharing news of my good health and recovery. Now, more than ever, I feel Chris with me as I face this challange. As always, I look to him as the ultimate example of defying the odds with strength, courage, and in the face of life's adversities." But, I would change it to,","I hope before too long to be sharing news of my good health and recovery. Now, more than ever, I feel Céline with me as I face this challange. As always, I look to her as the ultimate example of defying the odds with strength, courage, and in the face of life's adversities." Do you see why I would change Chris to Céline? Because Céline faces lifes adversities all the time. Look at when René had the throat cancer. She took over as the rock in their marriage. Get what I mean? Quote
