BJS Posted November 26, 2004 at 02:51 AM Posted November 26, 2004 at 02:51 AM So among the Celine items you've collected thus far, which one is your favourite? What about the most dated? Which item do you consider the rarest? The most expensive? The most disliked? What was your most unforgettable Celine experience? When did you start funding your Celine library? Could it be a source of recurring deficits? I started collecting her stuff about a year ago. The first album I bought was "The Colour Of My Love". There were only three songs in that album that I liked - The Power of Love, When I Fall In Love, and the title track. The dance numbers gave me headaches! So basically I skipped all the remaining tracks. It remains my least reviewed Celine album to this day. After getting a bad first impression of "The Colour of My Love", I started exploring her French repertoire, paying special attention to her early singles. That was when I became hooked! I truly admired the simplicity of the melodies and was deeply moved by Eddy Marnay's poetic lyrics. My favourite Celine's English album is "Let's Talk About Love", although I can't stand "Tell Him" - loathe it with a passion. Talking about the rarest... Well I'm not that much of a Celine collector, so I don't think I've got anything special. My most unforgettable Celine experience? Again, nothing special Apparently I haven't got an interesting story to tell. That's why I'm looking forward to hearing yours! Quote My dearest love who existed in a dream Till this evening when a wave came and swept me out to sea None of the loves that you have known Could prepare you for the love raging everywhere in me For all the arms that have covered you the hands that have touched you and the lips you have lingered on before Added together would be less than an olive In the banquet of love I have in store Love season to entice Love with all the trimmings filled with spice Love flavored to your whim Served piping hot with all the trimmings... For I'll decode every breath and every sigh, till your every lover's wish is fulfilled before it's made Toss in some jealousy and doubt, should it be required Not to rest till there's nothing more desired Thus loving as I do Never, never will you ever be untrue Having love with all the trimmings Waiting home for you...
Clari Posted November 26, 2004 at 08:57 AM Posted November 26, 2004 at 08:57 AM I never thought I would become a huge Celine fan, I bought "Falling Into You" because of "It's All Coming Back To Me Now"...then a few months later after I saw "The Colour of My Love" on Disney... and I slowly went looking for all the CDs that had the songs she sang on there... you can imagine how crazy I went when looking for "Can't Help Falling In Love" I started reading more about her and I begged my mom to buy me "Dion Chante Plamondon" and "The French Album" the same day.. haha and the rest is history!! I collect mostly magazines & articles with Celine in them... I'm a big penny pincher so I don't have many singles. I'm so mad I forgot to bid on a "Chante Noel" vynil last month, it was only $30 and sealed! Which one is your favourite? The "Let's Talk About Love" Tour Book What about the most dated? Other than magazines I don't think I have anything dated.Which item do you consider the rarest? I don't think I have anything rareThe most expensive? Probably the 1st "A New Day" program What was your most unforgettable Celine experience? Soon... Quote http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v226/CelineSmiles/hamster.gif CLARiSSA Xxx... ashleylovesceline Posted November 26, 2004 at 09:59 PM Posted November 26, 2004 at 09:59 PM First of all, it would take me an eternity to name all of the Céline items I have... so I'll just answer your questions! So among the Celine items you've collected thus far, which one is your favourite? My personalized autograph!!! Definatley my most prized possession! What about the most dated? Umm... not sure. To be honest, I haven't started on that collection yet until I have a place to put more stuff, LOL! Which item do you consider the rarest? My A New Day... opening night package. The most expensive? I spend so much money on everything Céline, it's hard to say. Probably the "Miracle" book, the sweater I had to have in Vegas, all the perfume, and other shirts and souvenirs in Vegas. The most money I've spent on Céline would be the tickets to her show, which I spend every last dime on without hesitation! The most disliked? Ha, that's funny! I love everything!!! What was your most unforgettable Celine experience? Seeing her in Las Vegas... she talked to my best friend and I in the audience on more than one occasion... so amazing!! When did you start funding your Celine library? The first CD I owned was "Falling into You"... but then I went back a got the three previous English albums and realized I knew songs on those albums too from the radio. From then on I was hooked... I have all of her French albums by now too. Quote
