AllCeline Posted August 13, 2005 Posted August 13, 2005 (edited) Well, like I said, I may be getting a new computer (may, being the keyword), and I really want something to encode with. You guys are sharing all these videos in HQ, and just wonderin' how I can do it too. So here's what I'd like to know:- Is there any special attachment required to hook up from my TV to the computer?- Do the different "brands" of equitment (if any), encode in different quality? (High quality, low quality video/audio, etc...?)- Does the "encoder" encode in all formats (i.e. M2V, MPEG, VOB, etc...)?- How much would all this cost?- Are there any system-requirements for my computer/TV before I can get one? So.... since we have so many "encoding-people" on the forum (hehehe), maybe someone can help? Bellamy Posted August 13, 2005 Posted August 13, 2005 that's really a lot questions. hard to answer them. there're many ways to rip videos. depends on your video source: VHS, Analog TV, Digital TV, Satellite, Cable, HDTV... I suggest you read some basic info from http://www.videohelp.com/ read "how to capture" and "how to convert".
