Céline 25 years in showbizz!

I hope its ok if I ask for attention for a project 2 friends of me started. :blushing:

Mireille from The Netherlands and Estevam from Brazil started a project because Céline will be in showbusiness 25 years next year. They want to give her a special gift from fans from all over the world with wishes and congratulations. They will be going to Vegas in March to hand this gift to Céline. They will try to give it personally (last year Mireille had contact with Patrick Angelil, she will be back in Vegas in November and try it again, so maybe she can work it out for March) and if this is not possible, they will give it to the people who work with Céline, so she will definately get it! :thumbsup2:

They came up with the idea to make a book that reflects Céline's life and carreer and also contains wishes from fans. They put all the info about the project at Estevams site (www.celinedion.com.br). Briefly, you can make your wish at one A4-size paper and send it to celine25yearinshowbizz@canada.com. If you want to make a drawing or something you can't send by e-mail, its possible too. Send an e-mail to the same address and you will get a postaddress to send your paper too. It will be a lot of work to make the book, so send in your wish before December 31th! The coming months there will be updates about this project on Estevam's site and after their visit to Vegas there will be a report including pictures!

I hope their project will become HUGE and I hope everyone here at this forum will contribute too! We have to support our diva in that special year 2006! :clap:

Yeah, I know, there have been many book-ideas but this one is slightly different. Not only messages but also the story about her life and hopefully creative things, like songs, drawings, everything you can imagine as long as it fits on A4! :clap:

A4 is the normal paper you write on. it's the size,cause you have bigger paper like A5 or A6 :thumbsup2:

Is that okay if I send you guys the song that I wrote to thank Céline? Ihope that will be enough for the book. I will e-mail it to you guys and you can put it on the A4 paper. It shouldn't take up more than on sheet of A4. Thanks for doing this and good luck. I hope that you can deliver it to Céline personally. I think that if you deliver it personally, then you can get her reaction yourself and report back to us about how it went. :clap:

I really hope you can work it out, Mireille! Last year I was in Vegas together with some friends and we met with Mireille and a friend of her. One night we were standing outside the Colosseum and we ran into Patrick Angelil, Rene's son! It was great, he took a lot of time to talk with us and he promissed us he would try to work things out for us. Unfortunately he was not able to do that, because we were leaving really soon, but he did meet with Mireille again to give her a special package including a signed showbook. I got mine in the mail and so did Jose, who was with me. :clap:

Mireille will try to meet Patrick again this next November, when she will be in Vegas. If this will work out, she will tell him about her project. So, who knows where the road will lead us... Who knows, maybe she will be able to give it to Céline personally! Small chance, but you never know!

Well, i am happy do do something for all the fans, because we all share the same passion! And not everyone is that lucky to get to see Celine in Vegas, so this might be away to get in touch with her too from a distance.

We are 2 fans from Holland and Brazil: Mireille and Estevam. As you might know Céline will be in showbusiness for 25 years next year! We think this is something so special that we can't just let it happen without thanking Céline for all her dedication and love for her fans.

We have this great idea, we want to give Céline a special book, it will be handed to her around March 2006. We thought of making a book that reflects her career and life but also contains all kinda letters, drawings, poems etc. from her biggest fans, dedicated to our idol! The subject is, of course, 'Céline in showbusiness for 25 years'. So just be creative and write or draw all your wishes for her on one A4 size paper, that's the maximum for each person. You can also put a small picture on your entry, but if it's too big we can't print it! So make sure your entry can be put in the book and respect our limitations! :thumbsup2:

You can write your wish in English or French. As an extra service, you can also write in Portugese or Dutch if you have problems with English (in that case we will translate it for you). You can send your entry to our special email address: celine25yearinshowbizz@canada.com If it is not possible to send your entry by mail, for instance because you made something handmade, please send us an e-mail. We will give you a postaddress to send your entry to!

We will definately make sure that your personal note to Céline will be put nicely into the book. While our work progresses we will keep you up to date on this website. We will let you know how the preparations are working out and when the book is finished, we will show you the result of all of our work. In March 2006 we are going to Vegas and we hope we will be able to give this great gift to Céline personally. If not we will give it to the people that work with her, so she will REALLY get it! Of course there will be an extensive report about this trip to Vegas on this website too, including pictures!

Please take notice: it's a lot of work for us, so you can send your letter, drawing or poem until December 31th, 2005. Entries that are send in after this date cannot be put into the book anymore! And remember: of course this has to be a surprise for Céline... so can you keep a secret?

Should there be a limit on the number of things that we send in? I think there should be a limit so that a lot of different fans can send something in, instead of getting the same name a bunch of times. Don't you think that's only fair? Please tell me what you think.

As far as I know there IS a limit of 1 A4-size paper! Otherwise I think they can rent a truck to get that book in Vegas... :msn-tongue:

That's right the limit is 1 A4-size paper for each fan! If one fan sends in 10 pages and the other just 1, that's not fair. And i also have to bring it in my handluggage on a 14 hour flight! :laughing:
