The future of Céline

I was talking with VinnyT. last night about the future of Céline, expecially about her forthcoming music releases.

 

We think that Céline will hit AC radio stations with "Ain't Gonna Look The Other Way" during the Christmas holiday, as a reminder for the "A New Day..." DVD.

I dunno if you noticed but everytime celinedion.com or other Sony Music web site talked about "You And I", they always named it "the first single off the live album". In addition, we wonder why Sony Music chose a different release date for the DVD, even if it was ready since the release of the CD. So, all that make us think there will be another single off the live album. It could well promoted the DVD (maybe, the DVD will contain a videoclip or they will make a special package CD/DVD).

 

What do you think about it?

but what about Miracle promo? I think it's hard to promo two albums at the same time, especially when Celine has not much time to do it.

What makes you think that Miracle won't last over the Christmas holiday? There are millions of mothers-to-be around the world everyday with a little promo on the radio by playing some of the great tracks from the album like, "In some small way" and "Precious one" to name a few, mothers will hear it and buy it if it appeals them.

 

A new day ... DVD will only be released in January it would be easier to advertise it then as it would be closer to the day and people wouldn't forget as is with the holidays.

 

For the christmas holiday I would've liked Céline to have released a new christmas album or promote Miracle, it doesn't even take that much just a poster in cd stores or a advert on tv, which has already happened here cuz i have the miracle poster, and people will be aware of it. Cuz to advertise something that'll be released in January over the christmas holiday is havoc because people are more concerned with christmas and all that they would've forgotten about the mention of the DVD.

 

I don't think they would play "Ain't gonna look the other way" over the holiday as a reminder of the DVD as I don't think it'll be on there if it were a reminder it would be more of a reminder for the cd. Oh well, I don't know what the future holds for Céline as far as promotion goes only Sony knows.

yeah mothers can buy during each seosan but in my opinion i dont think celine will promote it anymore after christmas!

Yes, true. But she didn't promote the "A New Day... Live in Las Vegas" album at all...!

 

My take on the whole thing--- they knew about "Miracle" before they released "ANDLILV" and advertisted inside that the DVD would be released this fall. Someone didn't think ahead in this whole process.

i can't understand why miracle promo was so tight and incomplete: no single,no clip,no cbs special , no integration in a new day,........

i wish celine concentrates more in her clips:we want another it's all coming back to me or another call the man , not only modeling in the clip (although she is unique in what she does)but i still want a more complex clip , more ideas..

i would also like her to do a special french concert in the years to come around 1 fillew et 4 types.

just dreams you know........

but i still believe in celine as always.

In my opinion, in Europe we had no single off the album 'cause Sony Music Europe didn't want to confuse people: they knew from the start that they had to release a second single off the live album.

"Miracle" will probably be one of her best selling albums, the DVD... blah.. they better put in some good bonus features to make up for all the WAITING.

I think the single Miracle should be released next month, just in time for the holidays. It ties in with the Miracles of the holidays, as well as the miracle babies that will be born within the next month. I'm sure many parents would definitely relate to that song. I believed that Miracle should have been the first single, I think it would have (and still will) do better that Beautiful Boy is doing now.

Hmmmmm... yeah after Christmas there will definitely be no more Miracle promo, I mean it won't do them any good to way over promote it like that. Persoanlly I think Miracle should have been some side project and that she should have made a real album
