Cheerfuljane Posted July 26, 2005 at 12:22 AM Posted July 26, 2005 at 12:22 AM I love watching movies. The most recent one that I have seen is Star Wars Ep. 3I really enjoyed it. I think they did an OK job to complete the story and fix any mistakes...lol.. I want to see War of the Worlds but I heard it was scary I like that kid Dakota. She reminds me of Drew Barrymore when she was young like in E.T Except this kid is more precocious Eternal Sunshine was wierd but with Carrey and Winslet (Titanic flashback) you gotta love it!! So tell us your favourites and your dislikes and why, oh why they are such ...... I`d like to hear about some good foreign films too - pray, do tell!! Party on...... Quote
Alygn19 Posted July 26, 2005 at 12:31 AM Posted July 26, 2005 at 12:31 AM I just saw the new Charlie and the Chocolate Factory movie and I did not like it! I thought it was weird and scary and not as entertaining as the original. I love Johnny Depp, but his character in this movie was just too weird. I also the Wedding Crashers. That movie was hillarious and I would recommend it to anyone over the age 18! I just thought they could do better with the ending. Some of my favorite movies are Cold Mountain, Green Mile, The Notebook, and A Knight's Tale. Quote
celine_rules Posted July 26, 2005 at 01:14 AM Posted July 26, 2005 at 01:14 AM i like the phantom of the opera movie(like it isn't obvious ), the singing is really good! i saw a good foreign movie also; it's an indian movie called lagaan, and it's about these indians who have to pay a tax called lagaan, and a british guy who collects the tax challenges the indians to a game of cricket and if the indians win they don't have to pay the tax, but if they lose, they have to pay. it is a long movie though Quote http://www.eseats.com/images/spotlight/vegas.jpg
Bellamy Posted July 26, 2005 at 01:54 AM Posted July 26, 2005 at 01:54 AM I saw War of the Worlds few days ago. the blood part is kinda disgust. and I hate to watch movies about aliens, cause they all look like insects. and the little girl screams too much, makes my headache. thank god at least there's Tom Cruise in the movie. piglot82 Posted July 26, 2005 at 02:21 AM Posted July 26, 2005 at 02:21 AM I haven't seen War of the Worlds. It looks kinda stupid to me and I don't really like Tom Cruise that much anyway. I did see Hustle & Flow this weekend. It was an ok movie. It had alot of slooooooow parts that got really boreing. I wish there was more action and more scenes with him flowing. I doubt I would watch it again unless it was on tv and nothing else was on. I want to see Must Love Dogs. I can't wait until it comes out next weekend. Adam868 Posted July 26, 2005 at 03:04 AM Posted July 26, 2005 at 03:04 AM Favorite Movies: Million Dollar Baby (AMAZING, deserved EVERY award it got), Ray (also stunning), Christmas Vacation (with Chevy Chase just HILARIOUS!!!), John Q (has a good moral) I just saw Charlie and the Chocolate Factory too...Johnny Depp was VERY weird, the movie was well done but very weird...nothing like the original. Koolan Posted July 26, 2005 at 03:41 AM Posted July 26, 2005 at 03:41 AM There's so many summer blockbusters this year that I haven't seen, I've only watched War of the Worlds this summer. The special effects were well done, some parts were kinda slow though and the ending sucked. I was glad that annoying kid died. So I still need to go watch Star Wars, Batman, Mr. and Mrs. Smith. Oh, Jane I'm sure you have seen Audition and The Ring japanese versions. It's so freaky! The Ring scared the crap out of me, I was at the edge of my seat Moreover, going to the bathroom became a challenge. I dare anyone (who haven't seen the Ring) to watch it by yourself with all the lights closed at like 2am in the morning.
