I hope you are all well.

 

Please consider this topic as an invitation to contribute to the enhancement of Celine's Wikipedia entry. Exciting times!

 

Whilst I feel that the current page is on a good standard, I believe there is considerable room for improvement both in terms of content and structure. I have checked the pages of other female singers and their entries are more extensive, more informative, better articulated and better referenced. I really think it is about time we stepped up our game and what a better audience to reach out to than Celine's hardcore fans in CDF!

 

I have come up with several categories that need to be updated and to keep things neat and tidy, I think we should focus on one item per week. This essentially means that we spend just about a week to do research on a specific area and then add the various pieces of information to her page. I am happy to do the writing but others are welcome to join!

 

The categories I have come with are as follows:

• Updated info on the impact of her blockbuster albums: D'eux, FIY, LTAL, TAST, ATW
  
• Updated list of singers Celine influenced - these need to be listed in bullet points.
  
• Updated list of singers who followed Celine's trend and did a residency - again, to be listed in bullet points.
  
• Updated info on her impact to the adult contemporary/power ballad genre and the 90s musical landscape.
  
• Updated info on her contribution to the expansion of francophone music.
  
• Updated info on her contribution to Soundtracks.
  
• Updated info on her contribution to research/awareness of cystic fibrosis, cancer, SPS.
  

 

I think we should begin exploring articles on her albums' impact. Because through this we will probably find info to add to the other categories. So when you identify a source, please share it in this thread.

 

If you think more categories are relevant, please put your suggestions forward and we can take things from there.

So, I watched Walter's new interview and mentioned about the song he and Celine did that amazed him. Well, he praised Celine during the interview in the part "Vocals Standout performers", and it was song Prince wrote "With This Tear", and has an amazing story during the session of that song. And guess what it's a one take. Another one! That's amazing!

 

I think this should be part of the wiki all the songs she did one take. - that's amazing only few people can do it

All the setlists I have collected through the years have been deleted time and again. Some of them have been there for a very long time like for A New Day... but then someone keeps deleting it and now the page is blocked from editing?!?!!? Does anyone know how to contact those people who block the pages? It's ridiculous. It concerns all tours and shows, I mean all the artists have full setlists from all shows but somehow for Celine it's forbidden? And now for A New Day we have a setlist from a random date of March 29 2003, not even a premiere date. Why would somebody not let it be adequate and the way it used to be? Are there any wikipedia experts here?

Back when I was having the same issue, uploading every variation of the setlist for each run of shows, the people who were undoing my work were arguing that it was somehow difficult/unpleasant to view for people with special needs…

Yeah! Someone should update this and make it 250M. I think the lambs already updated Mariah’s as we can see in citations 2024 while Celine it’s still on 2019.

The reason of deleting set lists because they are not accessible for those with special needs is complete bs. I use a screenreader on my iphone and it never presented any issues. Just looking back at this topic now.
