Not clue where they got that because that still looks like Alexa Rodriguez to me (the one with the twin sister, whom Celine mentioned in a québécois interview some years back). She was in some of those Paris pics, too.

Exactly, that is the same girl than the one in Paris. And newspapers said Angelique, that's why I repeated Angelique. Who knows ? She is RC girlfriend for sure. By the way it does matter what her real name is, as she is not a point of interest for us.

I was just thinking how sad this forum had become…. Ever since Covid and then her illness, it’s understandably been so quiet, but it’s still a change after the days of nightly Vegas reviews and endless appearances . Now we get excited for her to show up in a random sporting event lol.

I agree but look how far we’ve come post diagnosis news and the horrid bleakness of that aftermath. I mean it’s literally take a complete turn around in terms of how she’s coping and little by little being reintroduced to the world; albeit it at an alarmingly friggin slow pace. I really do believe it won’t be too too much longer until she’s on stage and / or out with new material.

I think she would want you/us to live our lives and have a full life. Her music and her existence should compliment our own and not be the center of your existence. IMHO

Fortunalty for all of us, we have a full life and don’t live for Céline 😉 But it’s true that things has changed a lot during the past years. Céline has changed a lot too but we are more angry against her management since there is a lot a material they could exploit Even if Céline does not sing.

Yes I think that's is the main reason for any angriness or unhappiness regarding Celine and her legacy. Nothing against Celine herself as we all understand her situation and mindset and her decisions over the past years since we can explain it with the situation that she experiences SPS. But her team or more so Sony could be way more active in promoting her legacy and releasing something previously unreleased for the fans and honour what Celine achieved and is still achieving nowadays.

Does Sony have the right to release anything (DVDs, Vinyl, CDs,, etc..) they want without Celine's involvement/signoff if they own the rights or obtained the rights?

 

And even if Sony could release something without Celine's sign off would they do that?

If it’s in Celine’s contract that she gets artistic approval of what gets released, then no. Sony cannot release on their own. If Sony owns her entire catalog outright, including unreleased material…then they can do whatever they want with it. If they don’t think it would generate enough money in sales, to reconcile the money they put into the release, then they will most likely not release anything.

I do not believe that when it comes to business, and making money, that they would at all ask her first if they had complete control of her catalog. If they truly believed it would bring in a decent profit, they would just do it.

Hello! As some of you may have read, I'm from Spain. Here in my country, sources close to Céline, if I recall correctly, reported that she was working hard on her recovery and that her team was still negotiating her new show.
