Love this idea! Reminding Celine’s old fan base of how iconic she is by celebrating this classic Celine album would be wonderful.

 

Very much in line with Mariah’s Music Box anniversary celebration.

 

People love nostalgia and Celine’s team doesn’t capitalize on that enough.

Hope Sony does something. Celine deserves big attention for these anniversaries of her big albums. Fans from back in the day would rediscover her music and love the 90s nostalgia.

 

The Power of Love is such an iconic song in her career.

It’s a shame we only have 2 TCOML tour dates, in which 1 isn’t complete. They didn’t do anything for self title 30th anniversary.

What's the campaign exactly? That the fans should stream "Power of Love"?

 

Yes streaming/support the song on Spotify and YT and contact Sony to celebrate the 30th anniversary of the album with unreleased videos/concerts, 4k videos of the music videos...etc... Like Mariah with Music Box...

Well they did things for LTAL25 and FIY25. As well as TATST from time to time I would expect something at least small for TCOML. Maybe a Dolby Atmos version and some remastered youtube videos. Perhaps even some new certifications but I dont think TCOML is eligible. Edited by DCCeline

They should Dolby Atmos her entire discography, there shouldn't have been any hesitation on that front from them.

Agreed. They can come up with some easy ways to celebrate the album. And this is one of them.

 

As far as Team Celine is concerned, they need to lean into the iconic 90s nostalgia that comes with Celine Dion. That big classic Celine logo and all the 90s goodness that oozes out of her albums and music videos needs to be showcased on her social media platforms. That will help people rediscover her and reminisce. That’s the advantage she has over modern day artists and they’re not capitalizing on it. And the younger people will think it’s cool too — because it’s vintage to them. And it’s not Celine/her team trying to be cool/chasing trends today, it’s simply owning what she’s already achieved. And that makes her cool.

This is what I expect more... Celine has 9 albums in D.A. / 360 R.A. til now... that's a good number if we compare to other singers like Whitney, Mariah, Barbra...

But Lara Pausini has her entire discography with a few exceptions. So I think this is more depending on the record company...

 

The advantage we have with Celine, is that those versions actually bring something NEW... It's not just the same song splitted into 6 channels... which is the case of the whole majority of releases...

Good point. Also we need hear earlier French discography on streaming like...c'mon people! They need to get their act together.

 

Songs like "D'amour ou d'amitie" would have had a good amount of streams by now!

It makes me wonder about her pathetic management I mean Cher , Mariah , Madonna , etc all have tons of special edition box sets, vinyls etc and that I’m sure is done by record labels etc. the pathetic way Celine’s brand is run is mind boggling. If it keeps going like this I suspect her legacy will diminish instead of being solidified as do most legacy artists when they age. Celine has no one in her corner anymore. Rene was her champion. Now that he’s gone and her health has plummeted I fear the worst.

 

Until she of course drops dead. Then they (Sony)may cash in a bit.

Actually Madonna doesnt have anything good and is very undercertified in the US. All Madonna releases is colored vinyls and overpriced sleeves for the vinyls. Celines management has done just as much.

I assumed Céline & René had the rights to those albums… I mean, the “greatest hits” compilations are on Apple Music, but it would sure be nice to have all of the albums remastered and available on streaming (as they did with Mélanie and Incognito). I just have the feeling those select songs are the only ones they want heard… like they’re intentionally ignoring the rest.

 

I’ve always wished someone talented would remix her older songs with modern (less dated) arrangements. That would be so interesting to hear ! But even the ones that have been remastered have been ignored, so TC might just think no one cares?
