célinedionfan_16 Posted May 11, 2020 at 01:47 AM Posted May 11, 2020 at 01:47 AM lara got two songs?? what is this she isn’t even québécoise. 15 seconds for queen céline. Quote
couldawouldashoulda Posted May 11, 2020 at 01:59 AM Posted May 11, 2020 at 01:59 AM I think Celine has the right idea with what she’s doing. It *is* fitting with her legend status. Reminds me of an old saying...”Arrive late and leave early. Shows people you’ve got more important things to do.” :sofunny: 2 Quote
Nmj Posted May 11, 2020 at 02:09 AM Posted May 11, 2020 at 02:09 AM Well she can't very well control all these producers marketing the h*ll out of their shows on the back of her name! That's the cross you just gotta bear once you reach her legend status. People will use her name left right and center if they can. And they all know she draws audiences - particularly in Quebec - so of course they'll plaster her name all over for clout. And keep in mind everyone else there (with few exceptions) did one of these shows. She already did three. She's being asked to contribute to these events at a far higher rate than anyone else. It’s been that way for years, she’s always asked to pay tribute to people at award shows and benefits. They can always count on Celine to come in clutch for this type of stuff. That is legend status. celinefanonline Posted May 11, 2020 at 02:12 AM Posted May 11, 2020 at 02:12 AM but u know it would be nice if she can do like virtual duet with Lara Quote Courage don't you dare fail me now!
PuraVida Posted May 11, 2020 at 02:28 AM Posted May 11, 2020 at 02:28 AM I totally get what you are saying and I really hope you are right but deep inside of me I know that in the end she is the boss as she likes to say.. so whatever she wants to do they will say yes. And unfortunately, this is the result every time . I mean I may appear as an ungrateful fan but I just wish she could sing one song from her own will . She likes to say she's the boss, but I don't think she is going to make a demand for more time? Quote
vlad Posted May 11, 2020 at 03:49 AM Posted May 11, 2020 at 03:49 AM She has this " legend" statusBeginning and endAll in small around herSo classy as usualI feel i want more everytimeToujours sur ma soif avec elleShe has something magical around her 1 Quote

PuraVida Posted May 11, 2020 at 04:53 AM Posted May 11, 2020 at 04:53 AM (edited) side note, never knew Lara Fabian was married, much less to a younger husband. He's 36 or 37! Maybe Celine should follow suit Edited May 11, 2020 at 04:53 AM by PuraVida Quote
stevo Posted May 11, 2020 at 06:59 AM Posted May 11, 2020 at 06:59 AM That was hard to listen to until Céline’s line. Very corny or something the whole song- and then her voice...and all was ok. Quote
jpatdeleon09 Posted May 11, 2020 at 07:04 AM Posted May 11, 2020 at 07:04 AM (edited) My only complain is her outfit. It looks like inflatable floaters ready to be blown/plastic bag recycled to be a dress. Anyways, i love her voice here. Edited May 11, 2020 at 07:16 AM by jpatdeleon09 Quote

Céline RO Posted May 11, 2020 at 09:36 AM Posted May 11, 2020 at 09:36 AM I loved everything about this performance. The song, her voice, her look (including the outfit) were all so amazing! She looks so much better than she did only a year ago and her voice was at least as good as in 2012, if not better. This performance was like the early 2010s all over again I can’t wait for the post-pandemic era! Quote The best is yet to come...
DionFanAlways Posted May 11, 2020 at 09:49 AM Posted May 11, 2020 at 09:49 AM https://youtu.be/UlVHM4ROHwIThis is a cool video. I really don't know anything about Lara. The line, "je t'ai, tu m'as", was a perfect match of their voices. Quote I have had the time of my life following this woman! Much love.
maikan Posted May 11, 2020 at 10:54 AM Posted May 11, 2020 at 10:54 AM That was hard to listen to until Céline's line. Very corny or something the whole song- and then her voice...and all was ok. ...Now now now, I'll have to disagree wholeheartedly with you on this one. This song, no matter who sings it, will never be corny. As for people complaining she didin't sing enough, Celine may not have made a big appearance but what she said before the song (for a quebecer anyway) is way more impactful than if she had sang 2 or 3 songs. 2 Quote
Ajax Posted May 11, 2020 at 10:57 AM Posted May 11, 2020 at 10:57 AM Her voice was so strong, the placement was perfect and it looked quite easy, while it is quite a very difficult one. 1 Quote
jpatdeleon09 Posted May 11, 2020 at 11:34 AM Posted May 11, 2020 at 11:34 AM (edited) I edited JPF's part at the because in the TV Version, they include JPF's vocals with Céline at the end. But in this version, JPF's part at the end was removed and it's more clear. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=F_SHLpbktZU I'll try to upload it later. manu23 Posted May 11, 2020 at 11:38 AM Posted May 11, 2020 at 11:38 AM Great vocals! Strong and clear. Looking forward to when the tour can resume, she will sound amazing after all these months resting her voice. 3 Quote
Ajax Posted May 11, 2020 at 12:01 PM Posted May 11, 2020 at 12:01 PM She sounds good. But let's see. Long resting doesn't necessarily means amazing vocals then. If she does not train it can be even worse. It's a muscle that needs to be trained, 1 Quote

Cool she's part of the group song, but as she has recorded this song already, I am not excited about it lol Quote http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v75/daveyh84/incognito198701_zpsaaootxh1.jpgRick, ik hou van jou voor altijd!A New Day... has come 28/29 April & 2/3 May 07Antwerpen 13 et 14 mai,Paris 24 et 25 mai, Amsterdam 2 juinet Arras 7 juillet Chances Taken!!!How Do You Keep The Music Playing? - Celine Opening Night March 15th, March 16th

Davey84 Posted May 11, 2020 at 12:37 PM Posted May 11, 2020 at 12:37 PM Well, “Une chance qu’on s’a” is the obvious choice. Other options could be: - Encore un soir- Ma force- Je nous veux- Attendre- Ne me quitte pas- L’étoile I really recommend you listen to these albums more. They’re amazing! Better than her English work. Looking back, I think it would have been lovely and fitting if Céline sang Le Miracle! They could have filmed Québec children of all ages singing the na na na na part! It's a hopeful song, that talks about finding the beauty in any situation! But alas. it's all but a forgotten song now Quote http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v75/daveyh84/incognito198701_zpsaaootxh1.jpgRick, ik hou van jou voor altijd!A New Day... has come 28/29 April & 2/3 May 07Antwerpen 13 et 14 mai,Paris 24 et 25 mai, Amsterdam 2 juinet Arras 7 juillet Chances Taken!!!How Do You Keep The Music Playing? - Celine Opening Night March 15th, March 16th
joaofilho Posted May 11, 2020 at 01:22 PM Posted May 11, 2020 at 01:22 PM I liked Celine's participation, and even though she filmed a video, I thought it was strange for the artists to go to the studio to record this special, now in a moment where people are asked to stay home and maintain social distance, I think it was not a good example. 2 Quote

Quebec is already opening up though. Schools (outside of Montreal) are back on today, stores reopened a week ago. Debatable whether they should, mind you, but they are. And clearly the in-studio filming followed social distancing guidance. Meanwhile, companies like Google and Facebook told employees to work from home until the end of the year... Strange days indeed.
