Thompson, 55, cited "irreconcilable differences" in filing for divorce from her record producer husband. The Grammy-winning Foster has worked with major stars such as Madonna, Celine Dion, Whitney Houston and Barbra Streisand. Thompson said in a statement released Thursday that the reasons for splitting "will remain personal and private" and reiterated that "it is important to remember that real life is not be confused with art or entertainment." The divorce was planned before The Princes of Malibu even went on the air. The show centres on Foster's spoiled adult stepsons, Brandon and Brody, who have moved back to their parents' Hollywood mansion. Thompson, a former Miss Tennessee, was previously married to Olympic gold medallist Bruce Jenner.
