incognito Posted June 12, 2024 Posted June 12, 2024 My mindset for many years when booking a show for any artist is, let’s make the show part of the trip and not the trip all about the show. That way if something happens and the show gets cancelled the trip is not ruined. Exactly, I plan to be in Vegas for just one day and the rest of my trip revolves around something else such as Zion, Disneyland or Death Valley! 2 Quote
Nmj Posted June 13, 2024 Posted June 13, 2024 (edited) I don’t comment on here much, but I just wanna say that Celine last night literally said she couldn’t no longer lie to the people who gave her her success, So I firmly believe if there was nothing planned and already on the books, she would’ve said “There’s nothing planned yet, I’m not quite there yet, but I’m closer than ever before.” She would not have yelled out JOHN, CAN I TELL HER WHEN?! Unless her “return” that she’s excited for thus far is for the Olympics? A return is a return in Celine’s eyes, maybe no plans for Vegas as of now. Either way maybe his sources are old. I’d like assume Vegas is in the cards as well, but we are assuming by. Comeback that it’s a Vegas residency. I don’t know what her RW contact says and what sticks and what doesn’t if she returns. Shamrock_1982 Posted June 13, 2024 Posted June 13, 2024 His lack of empathy for her condition and what she has been going through says a lot about what kind of person they are. Of course she’s going to promote her project but he also failed at recognizing the spotlight that this is putting on the disease and all those who suffer. Having met Scott a few times in Vegas, he’s a really nice guy but he’s not always been correct when it comes to Céline especially in recent years. 1 Quote
Peppercorn1991 Posted June 13, 2024 Posted June 13, 2024 Celine said in the Spotify interview with Hoda multiple dates by the way she envisioned her comeback. Made me think it would be a residency. Kev x Quote
CelinesDIVO5 Posted June 13, 2024 Posted June 13, 2024 (edited) Part of me thinks they were sort of just joking around by asking John "Can I say when"Also feels a bit that this drive to get back on stage is what keeps her going and keeps her sane at the moment. But who knows maybe they now found the right cocktail and she has several days without episodes. Like when she took the Valium relaxing it for what 2 week a month okay I'm fine the show must go on! Verstuurd vanaf mijn SM-F721B met Tapatalk I do not for one minute believe that Celine nor her team would allow something on camera, such as the illusion of a return date to the stageif it wasn’t happening AT SOME POINT. Whether it be a one off performance, or something more substantial. Do you honestly think that they would do this? Do you have ANY understanding of how detrimental that would be? I’m actually angry at the stupidity of such a comment. Feels like you can't say anything these days on the forum, without someone getting angry. There is definitely no need to get angry on a comment like mine. There have been way more stupid comments on this forum than this one. English is not my main language, and I never intended that part as something that they would give us the illusion of coming back. She wants to come back, and there is definitely something in the works. Just for me that part felt like something where she was avoiding the question by fooling around, joking around, when she is well aware she can't give any details yet.It would have been a lot clearly if she just said well I can't give any details but we working on something. But she didn't. Verstuurd vanaf mijn SM-F721B met Tapatalk 2 Quote

No1IrishFan Posted June 13, 2024 Posted June 13, 2024 Are we overlooking what Hoda said at the end of the preview? ‘we should all get tickets to her concert in Vegas cause she’s gonna be on stage’ Is this a slip? Did Celine tell Hoda about Vegas and she accidentally revealed it or is it wishful thinking from Hoda? Quote

scielle Posted June 13, 2024 Posted June 13, 2024 What a wanky tweet by someone who clearly doesn't like to be challenged or have his opinion questionedYeah. For some reason he has a beef with John Katsilometes at LV Review Journal (his tweets at John have been pretty vile). Doesn't really have much regard for journalistic ethics or any appreciation for the fact that someone like John, who works for a professional news organization, needs to vet his sources, go through a fact-checking process, and is held responsible for what he publishes. Scott on the other hand can blog/ tweet whatever. He has had confirmed scoops in the past, which is why I follow because you never know. And he has generally been very complimentary towards Celine but his attitude towards others online and towards the journalism profession in general is extremely off-putting. 1 Quote
PuraVida Posted June 13, 2024 Posted June 13, 2024 Vegas makes so much sense for a comeback for Celine for many reasons. But, if she were healthy and without SPS, I'd totally wish she'd move on from the whole Vegas residency thing. She's already conquered that arena. 2 Quote
scielle Posted June 13, 2024 Posted June 13, 2024 Pretty clear from the most recent clips (the CBC interview, TVA and TF1 excerpts) that on this particular day she was taking it easy. Not standing up to greet and hug people, as she normally would. Flat shoes (JP Dion noted that bit, specifically, and said she seemed in good spirits but visibly affected by the disease). Doing press rounds like this must be draining, but performing on stage many times more so. With that in mind, I'm having a hard time reconciling this Celine, with the one who is supposedly ready to get back on stage. 4 Quote

This could just be them being cautious … or my guess for timings sake… maybe John told her “stay seated I’ll escort each person, in and out so we can do this as fast as possible”… Celine keeps doubling and tripling down in these interviews that she’ll back, she’ll be “back on the stage”, she’ll “sing again”. I’m beginning to think that these interviews are less about promoting the documentary and Celine explaining her illness and more about breaking the ice so projects could continue and she can turn the page. 1 Quote

I actually think she can draw quite a bit of inspiration from Adele’s show. Particularly sticking with 2 shows per week. And Adele’s show has that classic Barbra Streisand elegant vibe. I wonder what Celine’s relationship is with Caesars Palace these days. Did she completely cut the cord now that they’re a Live Nation venue, or would she still want to see some of the old familiar faces. Quote
