So do you think the immune goblins (probably spelling wrong) are something was taking or is still taking? I got confused a little when she was taking about that.

Yes I took the “cocktail” of medications as some form of iv infusions that’s she’s currently taking that’s keeping her stable. I don’t think if she wasn’t “stable” for a minute now that she would even be contemplating a return to the stage… let alone a marathon of tv interviews.

I agree whatever on now it has stabilized her just wasn't sure if it is the immune goblins or those stopped helping and now on something else. She bundle them in with the other drugs she weaned herself off of at one point in the convo. Why I got confused but then way said got received once a week seemed that is what currently doing.

more sit down performances.

Except she said that sitting down is bad for her. She has to keep moving. I personally don’t imagine we’ll even be able to tell that it’s a different Céline on stage (and to be honest it is the same Céline just better medicated), except when/if she does have to cancel the odd show.

Im excited to hear her sing again on stage. To know that there’s a team of specialists behind her and that they’ve been sorting this for years.

Reading some of this stuff - like the latest People article I just posted to the People mag thread - if this is her reality, I just can't fathom how she could possibly perform? If she was so worried about having an attack by just walking out on stage at the Grammys... how can she have the confidence that nothing would happen if she goes out there for 2 hours on end and tries to perform?

Same here. Also, I don't feel exactly the same excitement as many others. It's when I see her moving at concerts and big events that I feel relieved...But here in the interview, I don't know. She could have said: There is no cure but the actual treatment allows me to live an almost normal life, but she didn't. She speaks at present when she says that any stimuli or emotion can trigger spasms, she clearly said that her voice is still not totally here. I don't know, I didn't hear what I wanted to, or not enough to think that she is ready to get back even in a near future.

She also passed most of the interview saying how she almost died wanting to please her team, fans, and honour her engagements. And I feel that she's still into this while pretending the contrary. Weird and a bit sad feeling for me.

But she’s said she “smart” now so let’s trust her and hope for the best. I trust her judgement now by the tone of her voice she seems to have learned from her mistakes.

Thank you for summing up perfectly how I felt watching this also. I’m glad that she’s coming back, but I worry for her too. I had the assumption based on her appearances at the Grammys, Katy Pery, cirque du soleil, and the hockey games, that with medication she was pretty much living a normal life. That’s not the case based on this interview, and in people magazine when she mentioned that RC stood behind her at the Grammys ready to step in and hold on to her if needed. I hope that by the time the shows do start, that she will have improved more with the therapies that she’s getting.

It’s clear she is doing this for herself as well as the fans. She has been lost without it.

Is all this maybe why we did not get any live concert releases? If she thinks it was not good enough. Edited by ivo

There is a moment in the interview, they’re outside and Céline asks John if she can tell Hoda when she’s going to be back, he says no and Céline says “I’m ready!”.

I am going to chose to believe she is ready with the medication now on and knows when to pull back if needed. Also with people around who will stop her which seems did not have during CWT. Otherwise I will just worry she will start back down the rabbit hole because she needs to be on stage like a drug and the need to please her fans.

I think we see a very limited engagement when she does come back. I think the days of booking her self out years in advanced is over… that alone will help her take it day by day. And I trust her judgement now. When Hoda asked if her voice is back 100% and she said not 100 we have to remember 95% percent for Celine is probably more than she’s been at since 2009ish.

I don't know, there's maybe something a bit delusional here. Maybe her team keep her believing she can do it. And if it can help her fighting let's go for it. She is absolutely incred

But taking her own words, I can't understand how she would be able to go on stage. Even her doctor's words were lukewarm.

I'm gonna sound too dark or sinic, but I'm also not sure general public want to pay for someone that can cancel a show at anytime or have kind of a spasm crisis on stage. When you take her words, that's what you get. Don't get me wrong I will be 100% there and I never admired her as much as right now. But I left sad and perplex from this interview, not what I was thinking.

Celine is special and will always be on many peoples bucket lists. Knowing this condition upfront, people won’t be mad at all. The demand has always been so high and I don’t see a change unless her first concerts are terrible.

The ones who don’t feel comfortable taking that chance can stay home. She’ll have no problem selling out the RW theater. The doctor can’t talk too much about a patient it was very broad analysis. And I think most of the issues Celine was talking about she was referring to a couple years ago BEFORE she has stabilized the syndrome with the current med cocktail that’s working.

I would still book a Vegas trip to see her. And if she cancels I’d do something else instead.

Part of me thinks they were sort of just joking around by asking John "Can I say when"

Also feels a bit that this drive to get back on stage is what keeps her going and keeps her sane at the moment.

But who knows maybe they now found the right cocktail and she has several days without episodes.

Like when she took the Valium relaxing it for what 2 week a month okay I'm fine the show must go on!

There’s artists that cancel shows because they’re drunk. At least with Celine we will know if she cancels its for a damn good reason. If everyone goes in with that mindset I’m sure it’ll be fine. Never ASSUME she’s 100% going on but hope for the best.

I’m sure she’ll perform. A little show here and there. Maybe even here in the uk. Wow what a dream. She’s a fighter. I have ms. I don’t let it define me. Some days hard some days not. I take it a step each day. And I live life. Celine will too. She’s my idol

I could definitely see her doing something in the vein of Adele’s set up- maybe not the weekend, but 2 shows a week, for like a month or two at a time and then an extended break in between

Me too. Probably 2 shows a week but not in a row like Adele more like a Friday and Sunday or something. That would be wise.

Hell, whenever I went to see Celine in the past I *never* took it as a given that she was going on. My nerves didn't settle down until the lights went down and she stepped on stage.

My mindset for many years when booking a show for any artist is, let’s make the show part of the trip and not the trip all about the show. That way if something happens and the show gets cancelled the trip is not ruined.

I don’t comment on here much, but I just wanna say that Celine last night literally said she couldn’t no longer lie to the people who gave her her success, So I firmly believe if there was nothing planned and already on the books, she would’ve said “There’s nothing planned yet, I’m not quite there yet, but I’m closer than ever before.” She would not have yelled out JOHN, CAN I TELL HER WHEN?!

Oh I know and agree.

But also can’t shake the fact that this is the guy who had the scoop on her RW deal about a year before anyone else, so his sources (at the time at least) were credible.

His lack of empathy for her condition and what she has been going through says a lot about what kind of person they are. Of course she’s going to promote her project but he also failed at recognizing the spotlight that this is putting on the disease and all those who suffer.

He probably is working from old information and is too stubborn to admit he may be wrong.
