Opening night: Videotron Centre, Québec, QC, Sept 18, 2019

Video cameras and audio recording devices are prohibited inside the Centre. It is forbidden to make any professional photo cameras, that the lens is more than 200 mm or detachable.

Also, big backpacks, iPads and tablets are not allowed and I don't know if there is storage available at the Centre Vidéotron.

I so desperately wanted to be spontaneous and go to this. The only French show I’ve seen was the Millennium Concert (and that was half English, half French really) and I’ve never been to an opening night of a Celine concert. I imagine the energy from her must be electric - doing a new show for the first time. However, there seem to be no direct flights from NYC to the Quebec airport and even as crazy of a Celine fan as I am, I won’t pay $1,500 for a flight with a stop. If she’d only opened the show in Montreal - those flights are direct and cheap!! Lol

 

I hope everyone who is able to go to this has a fantastic time!

Holy crap, I decided to do it! I’m embracing Celine’s “Courage” and traveling on my own - day of the show. A friend let me know a cheaper way to do it - 8am flight from NYC to Montreal and then a 3 hour train ride to Quebec City. I need the Travel Gods to be with me cuz I’m doing it day of the show and returning the next morning. (Can’t take much time off from work.)

 

I’m so excited to experience a French show and to see what (if any) new tracks from the album will be unveiled.

I can’t figure out how to edit my above post from my iPad. I have a 4 1/2 hour train ride from Montreal - not 3 hours. I made sure the timing with my flights and trains worked out before I purchased. I just did math incorrectly. HA!

That's very risky. If your flight is cancelled or delayed, you're screwed. I'd make sure the flight lands the day before.

I so wish I could - can’t take the extra day off of work. I bought insurance protection for everything so if the flight is delayed, I’ll be reimbursed for hotel/concert ticket/train ticket. The flight can actually be delayed by 90 min and I’d still make.the train. Thanks for thinking of me though!

If it doens't work for the train, you can take a bus.

There are 6 train departs a day and hourly departs for the buses.

Take a look at Orléans Express website. I hope it can help you.

Thanks for the help! My plans ended up being that I fly out of NYC at 8am arriving in Montreal at 9:45. The rail canada takes off at 11:55 arriving in Quebec City at 4:25. So as long as my flight goes out on time - or even if I have an hour delay - I should still be able to make the train no problem. However, if something happens to significantly delay my flight and I miss the train, I will absolutely pre-look into option on the Orleans Express website and have a backup plan ready to go!

 

I’m ridiculously excited at being at the opening night of this tour - I’ve never been to one before. I can only imagine the feeling from the crowd will be electric!!
