Only concert in Europe in 2019 hmmmmmmmm :hmm:

So there will be concerts in USA/ Canada? Or other kinds of projets like a movie? Because I dont think she will take 6,7 months off.... lets see.

It will be interesting to see what will come after this! I think it will be something US based, but she may also take time off.

 

That being said, I’m VERY excited to see this. It’s almost, in a way, like an English USF. An open air concert with a ton of people. Not as many, but still. will be amazing!!!

Well, if she's doing big, one-off outdoor event shows...

I've always wished she'd do a fully bilingual Canada Day show at Parliament Hill...or show up at the 40th Anniversary of the Montreal Jazz Fest this summer... sigh. A girl can dream, no?

Well, I don't think she'll be able to resist doing some Queen covers (and I'm all for!) Maybe some Beatles, too. (Or, you know, maybe she can do the Baronets' versions, en francais :giggle: )

I wouldn’t mind if she did Bohemian Rhapsody (that could be an interesting opener, now that I think about it!) as well as revisit Imagine. It’s an amazing anthem that speaks to so many people.

Meh, Imagine is a bit like Leonard Cohen's Hallelujah - fabulous, but so, so overdone. There are enough versions out there.

 

Now, Bohemian Rhapsody is another matter. That song was built for someone like Celine! Songs like this are probably why she loved Freddie so much. (Remember that time she was caught singing it to herself at the Met Gala?)

Though not sure she (& Elise / Dawn / Barnev?) could pull off all the random bits... that song covers, like, 5 genres!

But hey - they could always hire a choir! It's not like that hasn't been done before! :giggle:

Yes I would LOVE that!! I would love a choir at the beginning of the song and then Celine would come in for her part! They could have the choir start out and have her waltz on stage. Could be really amazing and I’m not sure anyone would see it coming!!! She could so pull that off, and in a great way!

Actually BST festival holds MORE than USF.

 

USF was 42,000 people, BST is between 50 and 65 thousand !!

She will be the main headliner on that date, probably performing for around an hour to an hour and a half, there will be supporting acts throughout that day, mostly playing for around 45 minutes. Celine either will come on in the afternoon or at night

I hope they will have the album ready to go at that time and she will do some promo while being in Europe.

This is the thing, I would hope it’s a full length concert performance from her or not worth the expense and travel for me. Not sure what to do???

 

My first taste of a festival was Transmt in Glasgow last year and Queen + Adam Lambert were the main headliners who performed for a full 1 hr 50 mins or so.

i would say she'll do a full set and perform probably close to 2 hrs or so

btw less than 15 mins til the announce

I just read Madonna did a full show when she did Hyde Park in 2012 so I guess Celine will be the same. Hopefully it doesn't rain :doh:

It all depends on how its set up. I know for a fact support acts will be 45 minutes.

 

 

Celine will be double that or maybe more. Jamaica was only 1 hour 45 minutes. Last year at the festival Roger Waters was 2 hours, and The Cure and Paul Simon were 2 hours 15.

 

Celines will probably be around 2 hours. It genuinely depends. We’ll know when they announce what time she’ll be on. If its afternoon like 1pm onward it will be like 1 hour 45 or maybe an hour 50, if its night time aka 8pm or later, it will be upwards of 2 hours

Well even if her set would only be 1 hour 30, thats the length of Vegas ANDDDD if you would be going to a festiva for one act and then leaving then youd be going for the wrong reason
