"I'm Alive" has surprised the crap outta me… it's the little engine that keeps rolling. Also it baffles me that ANDHC steaming numbers are so low as they are.

I think it has got to do with the pandemic - 'I'm Alive' is so uplifting, gives hope, emphasises life. Probably people needed that cause it's during the last 4 years that the song slays. Edited June 4, 2024 at 02:25 PM by LukeD

I guess it only sold 12 millions because of the new piracy era that it was released in. Had it been unavailable for downloads, it would have probably reached at least ATW... sales.

 

Not surprised by LTAL numbers though. I always found this album weak. It's only where it is because of MHWGO and Immortality, probably.

Cause there was no tour, only 3 singles released,

The 3rd one was the wrong choice

She was involved with Vegas at the time

And a year after she came with a French and new English record

This is a sudden change in the evolution of certain numbers because one period of counting has been completed.

 

To make it clearer : we have seen a regular daily increase of Céline's monthly listeners on Spotify since the release of SMHOF on May 3. That total of listeners is calculated on a period of one month. We are now exactly one month later which means that the amount of new listeners on May 3 and May 4 (mainly people who listened to SMHOF the first days) will drop from the Spotify total to let the new one from yesterday and today be included. There might have been less listeners on June 3 than on May 3.

 

The same change/effect occurs for example in late January when people who only listen to Céline for Happy Xmas drop from the total of monthly listeners and make thus that total decrease quite a lot.

 

So we might still enjoy a increase in Céline's monthly listeners in the upcoming days but a slight decrease is also possible ;-) Let's hope for the former!

Do you know what the numbers of Mariah and Whitney are for these platforms? They are ahead of her on Spotify but wonder whether YT music kind of balances things out.

 

 

I don't know because I don't listen to Mariah and Whitney. And to have the total numbers, it takes a lot of time and searching for each stream number for each song.

There's a lot to look for. Céline takes up a lot of my time.

If I’m remembering correctly, it looks like a fan made video by Filledagreat (or something) was deleted that had around 300 million views, so maybe that was it? I just hope any of those streams would count towards official certifications, since YouTube linked the audio to the official track.

It would be nice if her Friggin label certified her singles and some more albums with RIAA. She’s got at least half a dozen songs not even certified and multiple albums including all the way -which should be min 9 times platinum

Yes, sometimes that happens. And I don't know why. But after a few days or sometimes weeks, the numbers return to normal.

If you look today, the number has dropped to 280 million. I Love You fell from 170 million to 91 million.

My Heart Will Go On (from titanic album) with 227 million, today disappeared from the list. It's strange but normal at the same time.

2 - Audio numbers coming from Youtube-autogenerate

These 03 are responsible for the official numbers.

In multiple situations, YouTube music combines all monotorized numbers from multiple channels and uploads

But both are not the same song. So obviously you can't just combine numbers to get a satisfactory result.

I feel SMHOF can do better than this. It needs a bit more push from fans and the artists
