Ronny83 Posted December 13, 2004 at 11:04 PM Author Posted December 13, 2004 at 11:04 PM 'A New Day' Dawns for Horizon Media December 13, 2004 By Randi Schmelzer 20041213_w_news_celine_awLOS ANGELES Just weeks before Las Vegas kicks off its much-hyped centennial celebration, independent Horizon Media has been tapped by event-promotions company AEG Live to keep Celine Dion's "A New Day" show in the public eye, the agency said. Horizon's Los Angeles office will handle all media planning, buying and promotions for the Chrysler-sponsored Caesars Palace show. The agency is headquartered in New York. Named after her 2002 album, "A New Day Has Come," the show's opening marked the French Canadian diva's return to the stage after a lengthy break. Performed at Caesars' 4,000-seat Colosseum that was built specifically for Dion, the show set Vegas records in 2003, when 200,000 of the first 60 performances' 240,000 seats were sold two months prior to opening night. Although attendance has since leveled off, it remains one of the Strip's most popular acts, scheduled for 200 performances annually. "We're well versed in driving sales forward for these high-profile types of events," said Zach Rosenberg, executive vice president and general manager of Horizon Media in Los Angeles. "We're excited." Rosenberg said Horizon would be "committed over the next few years" to a television, radio and print campaign targeting Las Vegas "feeder markets" such as Los Angeles and San Diego. Horizon was awarded the business following a brief review against undisclosed agencies including incumbent Mediacom. A media budget was not available. Creative plans have yet to be formulated, an AEG representative said. The company has its own in-house advertising and marketing department.Source: http://adweek.com/aw/regional/west/article...t_id=1000736443 Quote The Celine Dion Italian fanbase - CelineDionItalia.com
