It's time for we to stop dreaming about hearing CD-quality live versions of Le vol d'un ange, TLBSEPT, TTWII, Ce soir on danse, Refuse to Dance and other gems that were performed on her last 2 tours. Oh well...

 

Live version of Refuse To Dance... yeah, thank you Sony Music and Céline's team. Thanks for nothing. Thanks for milking the fans all the time with incessant and repetitive tours and Vegas shows, but never giving them what they really are waiting for when the performance finishes and the lights are off.

I still think that there was something planned for the end of this year (DVD, re-release, ...) and then cancelled or delayed due to Johnny's health and (sadly) death.

It can't be that the completely filmed 4 concerts were for the archive. It's just ridiculous !!! Usually there are entries for the archive for the screen. But we also saw cranes and a few additional operators. It can not be that we are not pleased with the new dvd. I hope at least to spring 😊

Maybe Celine didn't like her look... that's what happened with the 2003 recording of the Vegas show when she didn't like how her hair looked.

well, she should have thought twice before changing her amazing young long hair look for that live in memphis like style...

 

 

But it really doesnt matter. She is who she is and we love her for that, even if she was bold, give us that DVD!

I don't get the hatred against that "Live In Memphis" look you all talk about during the tour. If you refer to the change in her for which she appeared in the July London shows, to me she looked amazing, and nothing close to the Live In Memphis look, but much more sleek and suitable

At the moment, no.

It was released in France and Belgium Wallonia only, reaching #1 and #6 respectively.

It was charting till December 2017 in Belgium and till February 2018 in France (plus it re-entered the chart for one week in early April because of Celine's birthday and buzz around it).

How come they didn't include I'm Alive in this compilation, and did include occasional songs she performed like THLAL or the way less known and successful LMBTL is beyond my understanding I'm Alive was performed the entire time during this tour, but with this omission in this release the ANDHC album has no representation in this compilation Even OH album has LIAWN included here! Only Unison, Taking Chances and ANDHC albums from her English discography are ommited here, Unison for obvious reasons (no song was performed in this tour), TC she only performed the main single, but I'm Alive??? She's been performing this song on every show and tour since 2003, it was only fair to include it here

 

This release is banned from my collection from now on

Are you asking for an explanation or a reason for anything Sony do?! You’re never gonna get one that makes any sense at all!

The reason in simple : this release was planned by Sony in the late spring (the details was in their catalogue weeks before the tour begins, that is how we knew the setlist...even though we thought that was going to be a live release !) and it was made from the informations they had at this time : some songs were added and some others were cut before the premiere. "I'm Alive" might not have been part of the first setlist...

It's wrong to say the song has been part of every show of every tour, remember it was not part of the 2011-2014 Celine ! Vegas show

As it wasn't most part of her own repertoire, since she included a massive amount of covers for that show and only a handful of her own songs

 

But other than that time, I'm Alive has been present in all her shows and tours since its release

What a pity that sony didn't released a compilation for the Asian Tour with the instrumental tracks of TPOL, BYLM, IA, FIY IDAN, etc. the year later.

They’re not “official” but pretty darn close!!! This guy does amazing work removing Celine’s vocals. He’s done tons of her songs, and some rare ones!!!
