I have been checking daily for updates about this show after the horrors that took place there two weeks ago

We still dont know if the concert will go ahead......And honestly i feel like it will be very hard for me to enjoy the concert after what has happened there, even if it is my hero Celine

I understand what you mean. I can't stop thinking about it & being there will be hard

Kings of Leon concert on the 9th of June has been cancelled. I'm surprised they've left it so late to announce but that could be a good thing as they're probably hoping to be open for upcoming events.

 

For that concert they've offered ticketholders to attend the Sheffield concert instead. I guess they were only able to do that because it wasn't sold out.

For that concert they've offered ticketholders to attend the Sheffield concert instead. I guess they were only able to do that because it wasn't sold out.

 

Yeah I guess they're always hoping they'll be able to fulfil the concerts that are booked.

 

Once the police finish their investigations, they'd then have to have structural work done etc so it may just be hard for them to put a date on it.

The website has been updated. It no longer states that they are assisting the police with their investigations & that they'll announce when the arena will reopen in due course.

It says on my purchase email no refunds or exchanges under any circumstances.

 

I don't know if I'd be able to make a date in August as I already have two full weeks off work to follow Celine a bit, so fingers crossed it still goes ahead.

Yeah mine as well but I've read that some are offering refunds after the May 22nd attack, if people are really scared to attend the concerts. So I guess circumstances have changed a bit? Or maybe it's only Arianas concert organizers that are offering refunds, not AEG ?

 

I'll cross my fingers for you as well X

I'm not scared to go really. I know security will be as tight as is possible, so it won't stop me from going to enjoy myself.

 

I guess all we can do is wait & see right?

I would hope that this is an exceptional circumstance that would allow for a refund, should the ticket holder wish.

I can understand being nervous. That's only natural in today's sad world, but we can't let these people stop us from living our lives & doing the things we love.

 

My heart breaks at the thought of going to the Manchester arena, but at the end of the day, life has to go on, horrible as that probably sounds.

 

Those poor people wouldn't want everyone to stop what they were doing, I'm sure ❤️

I truly hope she does. I'd imagine the August date will be fine. The June one may be more in question due to repair works rather than anything else.

My flight tickets were cheap enough I'll survive without getting that money back , don't think I'll be able to make the August date ..... I think someone said August 8th. I don't know if I could make that show either as I've already taken two weeks off work to see her shows. If it was a weekend date it would be much easier.

 

My hotel in Manchester is non refundable. It wasn't hugely expensive from what I remember.

 

I'm flying in from Amsterdam having been to the Arnhem concert, then catching a train back to Glasgow on 26th, so I'll be several hundred pounds down, not including the £525 ticket.

I don't really know Manchester that well either. There's bound to be other venues but I guess the availability & capacity would be the issue. Maybe that's why it's taking so long for a decision to be made.

Spoke to the Hotel in Manchester , they are not willing to give me a refund if celines concert doesn't go ahead.....thought it was strange they wernt nicer under the rare circumstances, nobody expected what happened, they should be willing to give refunds .......
