agentwigs Posted June 6, 2017 at 03:57 PM Posted June 6, 2017 at 03:57 PM (edited) Kings of Leon concert on the 9th of June has been cancelled. I'm surprised they've left it so late to announce but that could be a good thing as they're probably hoping to be open for upcoming events. For that concert they've offered ticketholders to attend the Sheffield concert instead. I guess they were only able to do that because it wasn't sold out. Yeah I guess they're always hoping they'll be able to fulfil the concerts that are booked. Once the police finish their investigations, they'd then have to have structural work done etc so it may just be hard for them to put a date on it. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Quote
Alison_Loves_Celine Posted June 7, 2017 at 04:22 PM Author Posted June 7, 2017 at 04:22 PM The website has been updated. It no longer states that they are assisting the police with their investigations & that they'll announce when the arena will reopen in due course. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk 1 Quote

I feel for the fans who have tickets to the Manchester shows and don't know what will happen It says on my purchase email no refunds or exchanges under any circumstances. I don't know if I'd be able to make a date in August as I already have two full weeks off work to follow Celine a bit, so fingers crossed it still goes ahead. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Quote

Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Yeah mine as well but I've read that some are offering refunds after the May 22nd attack, if people are really scared to attend the concerts. So I guess circumstances have changed a bit? Or maybe it's only Arianas concert organizers that are offering refunds, not AEG ? I'll cross my fingers for you as well X Quote

That's only natural in today's sad world, but we can't let these people stop us from living our lives & doing the things we love. My heart breaks at the thought of going to the Manchester arena, but at the end of the day, life has to go on, horrible as that probably sounds. Those poor people wouldn't want everyone to stop what they were doing, I'm sure ❤️ Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Quote

takeachance Posted June 9, 2017 at 06:31 PM Posted June 9, 2017 at 06:31 PM Thanks for the update , not looking great , but you would never know , I wonder would hotels be inclined to refund money , I don't wanna go to Manchester unless Celine is on ? ....... My flight tickets were cheap enough I'll survive without getting that money back , don't think I'll be able to make the August date ..... What date do people reckon it will be rescheduled for again ? I think someone said August 8th. I don't know if I could make that show either as I've already taken two weeks off work to see her shows. If it was a weekend date it would be much easier. My hotel in Manchester is non refundable. It wasn't hugely expensive from what I remember. I'm flying in from Amsterdam having been to the Arnhem concert, then catching a train back to Glasgow on 26th, so I'll be several hundred pounds down, not including the £525 ticket. I'm still kinda holding my breath regarding Paris... there is so much going on, many terrorists out there And I'm using a lot lot of my savings to see Céline and if the show were to be cancelled, I'd want a refund on everything I booked my hotel through booking.com where I cancel the hotel until July 1st (I'm arriving on July 3rd). 1 Quote

takeachance Posted June 10, 2017 at 03:26 AM Posted June 10, 2017 at 03:26 AM (edited) You are lucky you booked through booking. Com , I just booked with hotel - it was non refundable when I booked it but I am wondering now under the circumstances would they allow me a refund ??!! Obviously only if concert not going ahead .... Looks like the concert that was on on the 17 th there is being moved to the 02 Apollo ? Would Celine's show do this , I'm not familiar with Manchester so don't know if that venue would hold that many people or whatever !!
