Balao Posted February 26, 2017 Posted February 26, 2017 Who else loves this movie ? Of course, it is not a perfect movie. It has some flaws but it is a marvel to watch, a true enchantment. It is a song of love to the city of Los Angeles and musicals. The direction is amazing. The music is very good. Have you seen it and have you enjoyed ? http://img110.xooimage.com/files/3/c/e/la-la-land-chef-d...-m414404-51b3e2f.jpg Quote
ErwinG Posted February 26, 2017 Posted February 26, 2017 I have not seen it ... and don't think I will see it ... and I do hope it does not win tonight at the Oscars ... I got bored with all the early buzz around it and that killed my curiosity for the film ... 1 Quote

It is no wonder that it is talked about a lot. Like any good film. 1 Quote
Alex_Incognito Posted February 28, 2017 Posted February 28, 2017 I did not like it. In fact, I fell asleep twice during it. The music wasn't memorable, the story was blah, but the set was beautiful. 2 Quote "People pay 20-25 dollars to see you."- Céline Dion, 1990

Like any good film. I know ... but I get bored easily so which is why I was not invested in the movie ... and when all the buzz is around how good this was, on Oscar night while they won for a minute or so ... I was very happy to see that a mistake was done and Moonlight had indeed won ... Maybe now that the Oscars are done and it did not win Best Picture ... I can give it a chance and watch it; but I don't promise to like it or even finish it ... Quote
celinesounds Posted March 11, 2017 Posted March 11, 2017 (edited) i couldn't watch more than 5 minutes from this movie Edited March 11, 2017 by celinesounds Quote #FREEJAVITO
angelil78 Posted March 12, 2017 Posted March 12, 2017 I was incredible bored watching this movie. But me being stubborn, I had to finish it (Watched at home) but still took me three evenings to finish it Quote
browseceline Posted March 13, 2017 Posted March 13, 2017 I decided to watch it after all those oscars etc. But..visually it is a nice video..the story goes nowhere..the actingskills are horrible. Esspecailly the female mainrole was bland and i felt zero chemistry between them.Their singing is bad too. Maybe it was meant this way..but all in all..i did not feel it all. It was so boring that we stopped watching halfway. Balao Posted March 14, 2017 Author Posted March 14, 2017 You know you're talking about a film that you didn't bother to watch in a proper theater and that you split in 3, 4 maybe 5 parts. Or that you didn't even watch entirely. My guess is you expected something and the movie gives you something else. I wouldn't even say that you don't like musicals since I think that it is possible for a person who loves musicals to dislike La La Land.If you expected a romance, La La Land can be disappointing. If you like musicals, La La Land can be viewed as a parody, almost a chichéd musical. But, if you love the art of cinema, if you are interested in what a movie can be, it is almost impossible not to be interested in La La Land. Quote
