celine4evauk Posted February 6, 2017 Posted February 6, 2017 Omg I love Roxette! From 10.30pm to 5am I was changing all the music on 2 ipods. Went through 400 odd albums.π lots of Roxette on there, along with CΓ©line, Amy Grant, Shania. Then odd songs from Queen, Kylie, Tina Arena, Def Leppard and so much more. Needless to say, Celine was put on first! π 2 Quote

Daysleeper Posted February 6, 2017 Posted February 6, 2017 Roxette!!! I was a fan when I was kid and I still love them the same way. I've also seen them live twice on the concert. Their last album "Good Karma" is great.Β Also, I'm still a huge fan of A-ha. Their music is absolutely timeless. Seen them once live. One of the best concert experiences I had. 5 Quote

sfbaysinger Posted February 7, 2017 Posted February 7, 2017 What a great topic. I was born in 83 so can't really comment much on the eighties. Although, it's funny, I love love love Designing Women, Growing Pains, Full House and The Golden girls, and all of those, I think, have their start in the eighties. I only know one song from Roxette, sorry, and I've never heard of A Ha. My parents raised me and my younger brother on country music, so half the acts I could name from the nineties I bet most of you, especially Non-Americans who may not like country music, couldn't name. But to start you off, Reba, Martina McBride, Tim McGraw, Sarah Evans, Allan Jackson, George Strait and kenny Chesney. Once I expanded past country music, Mariah Carey, who I cannot stand now for the effing life of me, was my favorite singer for a while. I'm also a huuuuuuge fan, as in, this person is my second favorite singer, of a Canadian named Loreena McKennitt. I doubt anyone here knows who she is as she's kinda Celtic but not, she's got a bit of a Middle Eastern flare but I wouldn't classify her in that genre. Oh and I love Enya. Past that, Boyz ii Men was amaaaaaazing, and I'm sorry, NSYNC all the way though BSB was sorta kinda okay. I liked 98 Degrees as well and I also discovered Selena, not Gomez but the Hispanic singer who sang Dreaming of You and I could Fall In Love With You in the nineties. Oh, and back in the late nineties, MTV and VH1 were actually good networks. Any Americans remember TRL? That's where Carson Daly got his start. I'm not a big movie watcher so I don't have much to comment on in the way of films. In the nineties I loved Friends and Frasure, and Home Improvement, all those are sitcoms. Good era for me in terms of music and TV, and what a great topic. I hope you get more comments. 1 Quote L'immensite de mon amour pour Celine! L'amour existe encore pour elle!
