Celine's unique integrity

I don't know if this have been discussed here before of even if it matters for most of you but, one of the main reasons I love Celine so much is that she has intergrity as no other artist in the industry.

 

Not that I know her personally, but considering facts like:

 

1) Being a completely family centered woman.

2) Never singing about wrong feelings or situations (She cares about the message). A 5 year old kid could listen to any of her songs.

3) Never relying on her body or sex to sell.

4) Never known as mistreating fans or her employees.

5) Only one love in her lifetime. Never cheating, to the point of refusing to kiss models in her videos.

6) Never intro drugs or alcohol scandals.

7) Always being nice, polite and considering other people feelings.

 

Correct me if I'm wrong, but to me, she is the kind of person we should consider a model of living.

 

PD: I know Rene had some problems about gambling, but that was not her.

I couldn't agree more. Aside from her ginormous talent and the wonderful songs she's been lucky to have sung, her integrity and respect for herself and others is one of the reasons that have made me admire her so much. Showbiz is such a crazy beast that apparently (judging from countless other artists, actors etc) it's very easy to lose yourself but Celine seems to have never let that affect her.

I just had to answer your post. I couldn`t agree more with your opinion. Yes, we all know of her many talents as an artist. She is one of the most amazing artists on the planet, maintaining both a sucessful French and English career. Her talent is, of course unquestionable. I can listen to her all day ( in English and French) and never get tired.However I have to say that to me Mrs Angelil is the woman that I admire the most and consider a true role model. She has always been dedicated to her family. Her parents, her brothers and sisters, her husband and of course her sons. Her family has always come first in her life. The more I read about her and the more information I have on her, the more I admire her. She has always valued her mother and father. She has always helped her brothers and sisters. Her story with Rene is one of the most beautiful love stories ever. I am the biggest fan of the couple. I love the way that they dedicated their lives to each other. In every story, video. documentary, interview, and book you can see how much they cared for each other. Her love for her children is the most beautiful thing. She is above all ` a mom`.

She cares about the messages that she sends to her public. She shows that she respects everyone. Her atitude, in all situations , is what I really admire.

Celine Dion the artist is amazing but Mrs Angelil the woman is a dream come true. All women should follow her lead!

She never speaks ill of others, which is exceptionally rare, and not just in showbusiness.

She roots for other people, isn't afraid of other people's talent.

She sticks up for others when they're down, even if she has absolutely no reason to (e.g. when she defended Madonna after that Prince-tribute everyone hated so much)

And she has this way of just winning people over.

Most people who meet her quickly seem to develop a genuine affection for her. From her bodyguards, technicians, other artists...to her stepchildren (which is quite a feet in itself, with Patrick being her age and all!)

 

So yeah, if I must have a role model, I pick Céline! :-)

I agree. Celine is the perfect role model. Celine is always so polite, respectful, compassionate, kind and loving to everyone she meets and knows. I think that Celine has the heart and soul of a child, with the body and mind of an adult, which are the perfect combinations to being a wonderful role model!

I've always loved Celine's voice as a singer, but when I started watching videos of her on YouTube, I just couldn't resist! lol I think I've mentioned before that I was a huge fan of Celine when I was a child; I wanted to sing after I heard her music on the radio. When I was about twelve years old, I got interested in Christian music and eventually gave up on mainstream pop altogether. But two years ago I rediscovered Celine's music at a very low point in my life. For some reason, I had kept all her albums when I gave most of my pop music away. Celine is one of the few mainstream pop artists I can really say I still like to this day. I now try to find music that's lyrically decent to listen to, and compared with a lot of the garbage out there today, Celine's music is probably some of the best. On the other hand, every time I see a video of her, I just love her even more. She's always so sweet and so funny, and she's not a big drama queen like some of those stars out there. One thing I've thought of many times is that Celine is not one of those who demands respect; people just respect her. Not only is she a fabulous singer, but she always treats people with respect, and I have never heard her put anyone down, not even another singer. I know she probably has her opinions about other people, as we all do, but she never talks down about anybody. And besides her incredible, amazing talent, I think people respect her for that as well. You get what you give.
