No unfortunately not! It's from 2011 from the Vegas fittings! Let me look for the original photo!

 

Well I'm not really sure how to find it so I decided to just pull the Temperley London photo from the closet :)

I asked the mod to delete my most recent post because it's going to just cause unnecessary drama and derail the thread once more. Just FYI in case people feel the need to respond.

What thread? The Pepe thread? This has been derailed long before you posted a single thing about Rene & Celine. :giggle:

I don't know how to contact the mods, but if that post is deleted, please delete my reply as well. I'd much rather not discuss this stuff, but did feel compelled to respond.

Can anyone tell my what happened to her voice? Couple weeks before the commencement of the tour, I was hoping she would use play back as much as possible considering the amount of shows left to be performed in LV this year and the state of her voice (which sounded fragile and limited). When I hear her recent performances, I can't believe what I hear. She never sung MHWGO as well as she does now since the 90s. The vocal performance she delivers each time on Think Twice is unbelievable. She knows that she's good. She enjoys it. It shows. We are so privilege to be fan of an artist like Celine.

The deterioration of her voice when Rene passed away was shocking! I think she is finally recovering from the tragedy and this shows in her vocals.

Wholeheartedly agree with all of chocolatechip15's post above.

 

And calling Celine and Rene's relationship 'suspect' is just such a cynical view.

 

It's always saddens me when people assume that surely there must have been something sinister going on. Why is it so difficult to believe that a young woman can genuinely love an older man of her own volition? It may be unusual, sure, but it ain't impossible nor rare (I personally know a few in that situation). And no, I don't think one has to be naive to believe that.

Was the fact that she was working so much and so early and had no or little exposure to men her age a factor? Probably. But I happen to think she was much more of an instigator at the start of that relationship than he was.

I knew her voice was still there, Shania Twain just had a nasty divorce and she couldn't even sing at all, probably from all of the stress. The difference is with Celine she was back a month after losing Renè trying to go on with business as usual and she just couldn't, yet she went on anyway. I think Celine may have needed to come back that soon but from a vocal standpoint, I think it would've have been a better decision to just cancel all of her Vegas shows and completely take time to heal and mourn completely and enjoy being around her family. I do understand why she didn't tho, she had to make Renè proud and she did because even Celine at 50 percent is better than any singer I've known.

Can we all agree we cannot possibly know everything that has happened between Celine and Rene since 1980 when they first met?

 

And maybe move on to discussing the gorgeousness of her vocals tonight? 10 days until the Birmingham concert, by the way. :dance2:

Hello!

If anyone saw or knows someone who was close to Her before Love of My life, please let me know ! During the speech She hi5ed me and held my hand and I would like to be sure i did not imagine it all!

Ps: She was warm, with a gorgeous smile and probably smelled like unicorns...

If she had to pick something from One Heart, I would have rather that she had picked I Know What Love Is.

I have been DYING for her to perform I Know What Love Is for YEARS!!!!!! Never gonna happen, but I sooooooooo agree with you.

Hi all,

 

It's looking possible that I might not be able to go and see Celine this week in Birmingham. I'm therefore preempting this by seeing if anyone wants to buy my tickets - I already have them and would send via recorded delivery.

 

Block J, Row H, Seat 3-4 - face value is £300 (+ around £35 booking fees). I'm willing to let go for £200 + postage (which will likely cost around £6.50 for next day). If interested, please let me know.

I just had breakfast at a table just beside her bodyguard and yesterday evening I stood in the elevator with Dave Platel 😃 I felt I had to say something and stupidly enough I said " Hi, I think you are Dave, Right?"

He replaid to me " Yes, ... and you are Susanne!" 😆

I said no, i'm just a big fan of Celine!

Maybe Celine will be next 🤞

I'm really enjoying the crowd in these Berlin clips.

 

The crowd was fantastic last night. I was a bit worried when the arena started to fill, as it didn't look like the type of crowd to get up & dance/sing along .. but wow I was wrong! ❤️

I came here just to say, after watching all the videos of Berlin I could find, she was on F-I-R-E tonight! Maybe the best she has sounded all tour. I am so impressed and in love. I LOVE watching her back up singers shake their head and wave their hands at her, at certain notes, even the musicians, when she does a killer note, smile big, shake their heads, etc. Makes me feel SO PROUD and in love, haha!
