Maybe it's because i now live in Santa Rosa. lol anyway, I too am thrilled to death that love is all we need was not cut, I love that song being included. Still sad about TR and TCOML, but I kinda get it at the same time. If there were two songs I would NOT be one bit sad to lose, it would be IDAN and TC. Quote L'immensite de mon amour pour Celine! Jeanette Posted July 23, 2017 at 11:59 PM Posted July 23, 2017 at 11:59 PM False. Jeez, I'm confused lol. So it wasn't cut?? I'm slightly disappointed in the way the English setlist is getting cut to ribbons, she sung more songs in the French setlist so it does seem a bit unfair. I'm glad I got to see the concert earlier in the tour but would still have liked my money's worth for Glasgow, after all, we've waited a hell of a long time to see her here again. Quote

Flymetothemoon Posted July 24, 2017 at 12:20 AM Posted July 24, 2017 at 12:20 AM Few observations: I owe the German crowd a huge apology fof thibking they'd be a lousy audience because they were amazing. The setlist was tight and probably better than the French one. Not from a fan perspective, but for casual fans it was absolutely great. And even though she talked a lot, the audiences seemed to love it. I think I even witnessed a few 'conversions' of non-fans hisbands/boyfriends) that were totally into it by the end.And say what you will, but LCMM/RDMH And Black or White are adored by the audience. So stop dreaming, she won't cut them anytime soon. Lastly, performing the last song in the audience is an absolutely brilliant move. People love it. And LOML LEGIT gave me chills. And then she passed by me, oh my God...I'm on such a Céline high, there's nothing like it. Can't wait for tomorrow! The audience was unexpectedly warm and welcoming and respectful and entertaining! I don't recall any London/Paris show where peeps stood up most of the show! I dislike being biased my own prejudices... 1 Quote

Flymetothemoon Posted July 24, 2017 at 12:31 AM Posted July 24, 2017 at 12:31 AM I just got back to my room and somehow, am finally composed to write this This night was everything to me. I'm so grateful for the chance to get to see her, that too, close enough to be able to see her without looking into the screens yet far enough to see the entire stage and see what was happening. Her voice is phenomenal and have to say it, Mercedes Benz Arena Berlin sure got the perfect acoustics. The audience was amazing and kept on cheering her, especially when she said something in German or something about Germany, the crowd ate it all up. People were on their feet when needed and were sitting at the ballads, though not in all of them. She got an amazing response during 'Le Ballet' and she also said that she loved how the crowd were all on their feet to see her gyrating and do yoga poses on the stage floor. It was amazing!Oh, and right when she posed down before she began 'Le Ballet', I screamed 'YAAASSS QUEEN' the people laughed and howled back, so it was an amazing feeling. Also, loved how people were singing PQTME along with her. Oh and yes, when the entire arena sang back 'No, No, No' during 'Think Twice', her eyes lit up and she smiled big time. Loved the response!I really really can't stand LCMM and I rather her perform THLAL/Misled/or any other uptempo than this cringe fest. OK but seeing it live is still a bit better than seeing it on live videos, but this song has been done to death for me. I hope they replace it with something else in the next tour whenever that will be.One of the funniest things to happen in my section (Mitte) was when the security were arranging the ropes for her to walk to get to the LOML stage, the people all rushed to my side and I had to tell them that she still has to perform MHWGO and no was ready to listen. Once MHWGO started, they were all confused as to where she was then they saw that she was still on the main stage I didn't care much about MHWGO so I tried to position myself as close to the rope as possible as my seat was 2 and the girl in seat 1 (big shout out to her) helped keep a position for me. She was fantastic (I think she told me her name was Catherine or Catelyn and she is here on the forum but doesn't post - so if you're here, you were amazing tonight) and I told her that Celine will be walking here once MHWGO ends so be ready to take pics/videos/touch her/smell unicorns. So as Celine walks past by, we both got to touch her left hand and once I did that, I saw Marcin (anewdayhascome) walking right behind the security, so I collected my things as well and went behind. That's how I got so damn freakin' close to her when she performed LOML. Also, the girl who got a high5, I think I got you on video as I was just standing next to the woman next to you but I'll have to check it when I start uploading them either on FB/YouTube. After the end of LOML, she High-fived a guy in red tee and near him was a guy in white who was sobbing like crazy. So damn emotional. Not sure how much I cried out of joy, screamed loud enough hoping she'd hear me and overall, had a fantastic time! There were two guys from the UK on my other side and they were superb as well. The security at the front row were lax towards the end, so many could come to the front and take close up pictures. While I was doing so, Denise T took a pic of me taking a pic of Celine, so hopefully, I will get to see that pic someday I tried recording the show as much as I could but my Panasonic camera's battery died as I was recording in 4K So I resorted to shooting some of it with my iPhone. I shall see if they are OK quality and upload it if anyone wants them. I'm just gonna crash now but I'm still so high that I don't know if I'll be able to sleep tonight. Thanks for the super cute insider details! So that was you, phihi Marcin is a good source of info I loved the 4 peeps in front row with matching Celine t-shirts, had to wave at them before LOML. If u see a girl with a white floral sleeves top (plus a silly smile) in your video, it must be me Wish I could crash, but I have to keep looking for plane tickets... I just cannot focus.... 3 Quote

The middle floor was on their feet most of the time. Can' t wait to be part of them tomorrow.Celine was on fire and suprised by the response of the people. To be honest I was kind of waiting for both TCOML and TR and I was a bit disappointed that they were cut. However, the Balet was a pleasant surprise. Also the section that I had booked ticket for was closed because of bad view as they said and they gave me another ticket to the lower section which was pretty close to the stage, without any additional charging! I was lucky this time.See you guys tomorrow in the show. 5 Quote Time flies...

Popular Post chocolatechip15 Posted July 24, 2017 at 12:53 AM Popular Post Posted July 24, 2017 at 12:53 AM I am sorry because I know it`s off topic but I would like to give my opinion. I disagree very much with what was mentioned before. First of all if you observe the color of the first dress (it`s a light color) that doesn`t look very good on camera, the second dress was a dark color, that looks much better. I am sure Rene was not worried about a plunging neckline.( as if celine never wore any revealing clothes when he was around. )Now an interview that really talks about this topic of her every move being directed and monitored is `Michael Jasmin la 1000 eme avec Celine et Rene. It`s a long interview in which it is made very clear that in the begining yes Rene did call the shots because she was young and inexperienced. As time passed however she began to be more and more in charge. In her biography she also talks about this subject. She just knew that Rene always had her back, as she has said recently in concert, she lost her husband, the man she could trust and her best friend. He knew that after he passed she would be going through a difficult moment, and that is why Aldo was called on. He had worked with them for a very long time. I am sure Rene just wanted her to feel supported and helped. If you also watch 3 boys and a new show you will see that Celine has a strong personality not easily dominated. Of course, as I said before , just my opinion. Now going back to the topic so first full English show tomorrow, I wonder if anything will change? I agree with this. Also, Celine WANTED a manager who would tell her, "No," who would give her honest feedback about her career -- she has said that SO many times. She doesn't want someone who would always tell her everything she did was great - what would be the point of that? She valued his honest feedback on her performances very much, and it helped her tremendously. No one can be objective about him/herself - everyone needs other opinions that they can trust. Celine has said many times that she thinks one of the dangers of celebrity is people saying "yes" to you all the time -- everyone afraid to give a true opinion - and her fear that that's part of what leads to the high rates of drug use in showbiz, etc. The clip about that dress annoys me SO much -- it's the *announcer* saying that Rene told her to change the dress -- we don't see the conversation happening. Very likely, he told her he thought the blue dress looks better -- as he has given his opinion about many aspects of her career, as she wants him to! As others have said, the blue dress was much more flattering on her. (This, btw, is why she trusted his advice. He's really, really good at what he does, and he has always done right by her. ) Some of these posts about Rene controlling Celine are really, really disturbing to me, because there's just no support for that. Celine did what she wanted to do. When IVF wasn't working, and she wanted to keep trying, she told Rene to push back the date of the Vegas comeback, and he did. Three times, if I recall correctly. She also refused to discuss the contract with him when she was trying to get pregnant, limited business talk to like 5 minutes when they were at home, took off 2 years when RC was born, took off about 2 years to get pregnant with and give birth to the twins . . she made her own basic decisions about the life she wanted to live. She's said many times that she's the boss at home. She didn't want to deal with the business details, and she very much valued Rene's opinion on the showbiz stuff, so he was in a charge to a certain extent there (but only to a certain extent - she had a ton of input on the artistic stuff.) Celine and Rene had an amazing relationship - so much genuine, mutual love and support. Celine has said so many times that Rene respected her, even as a 12-year old. His death is a tremendous loss. Yes, it's been a year and a half, and if she's ready to move on, I wish her the best and happiness. But to say that her relationship with Rene was suspect, or that he controlled her every move and now she's "free" -- I think that's completely wrong. I also think that whoever else she may end up with (and I do hope she ends up in a good relationship with someone else, eventually) - Rene will always be the love of her life. 12 Quote

I also think that whoever else she may end up with (and I do hope she ends up in a good relationship with someone else, eventually) - Rene will always be the love of her life. You know what? I regret opening up such a can of worms on a fan forum of all places, but since this topic keeps on getting dragged back up and you sincerely provided receipts about how Celine held her own considerable influence and wasn't just a doormat, I feel I like need to explain why I made that comment about their relationship being suspect, and not the simple fairy tale it was portrayed to be. Everyone is free to draw their own conclusions. Rene publicly defended a convicted pedophile (Guy Cloutier) after his conviction. This was a man who admitted to raping 2 of his child clients including Nathalie Simard. Furthermore, everyone here knows about the rape accusation and how that Korean woman was jailed for attempting to extort more money from Rene after he initially settled with her for 2 million without telling Celine (apparently to spare her feelings during her first pregnancy). But the official justification was that he went to a strange woman's hotel room at midnight to talk about Cystic Fibrosis and not for sex. Really? People say Aldo left on his own. That's true, officially. But why would a man appointed to such a position basically leave his honeypot after such a short period unless he felt like he couldn't serve a purpose? Celine was said to have attended every meeting and probably asserted herself more than he expected. And you guys all think it's a coincidence that Patrick -- Rene's son who had worked with Celine for so many years, also left right after? To me, this points to Celine freeing herself of outside influences and taking control. I'm going to cause a shitstorm for even posting this, but it's the way I feel. Who do they think made all these arrangements for Celine. Only a fool is too short sighted to see this. Edited July 24, 2017 at 01:31 AM by Brandon 1 Quote https://media.giphy....zviuO/giphy.gif
sfbaysinger Posted July 24, 2017 at 01:33 AM Posted July 24, 2017 at 01:33 AM This was incredible. Probably the performance of this song that I've enjoyed the most.....ever. I loved the little unexpected riff in the line, "in this thing called love." She did something she has never done before. I agree, though as this is the one song I did get to hear during the live feeds. This has been my personal favorite performance of this song thus far, though I am THRILLED she is doing this, in full, live. And let me add, please, I don't like to agree with the mass here, but why two French songs in an English setlist? As a blind person I will never ever ever ever understand all the hype over La Ballet, but I did not want to lose TR and TCOML just to have La Ballet in. I know several on here will disagree with me, and that's fine. I am looking forward to tomorrow, though, I will be here. I am hopeful live feeds will cooperate so I can join you all! This is sadly going to be over soon, guys, so let's take it all in now while we can! Quote L'immensite de mon amour pour Celine! L'amour existe encore pour elle!
