You'd think he would, right? And as for the scripted speeches - the formula seems to be: talk about some famous locals (or in the absence of that, how much she loves local shopping), then talk about some local food (meatballs, bangers & mash, sausages, sticky toffee...), insert Sia or Rihanna song where possible. Rinse & repeat. I don't mind that it's formulaic - she delivers it well. I just wish she wouldn't meander so much. She does the same thing in Vegas...it's cute the first time, and she has good timing with the punchlines, but then she spends, like, another 10 minutes saying exactly the same thing, and it really becomes too much. Especially in the LV shows, which are too short to begin with. I always found it weird that she didn't talk more about the music - the writers and composers, or the story of how she came to do a particular song, or some memory associated with it. Other than Recovering in this tour, and I suppose sometimes HDAMLF. I'm used to artists talk a lot more about the material they chose to perform and wish she would do the same.
