As much as I believe in the freedom of speech and free internet for everyone, some just apply unethical, unsuccessful, repetitive, illogical means of expression/approach...frustrated trolls who miss out the good parts...

Celine should charge $1000 for ten seconds M&G with a photo, but no touching and nobody would have the right to look at her...

So finally am back to my room and damn today was kind of a whirlwind. I met a lot of my fellow fans from the forum and also, some people with whom I've been friends with on social media but never actually got the chance to meet in real life. I can't wait to meet them again in the future and hope to meet more new people from the forum.

 

I apologise for my pathetic live stream cos my LTE ran out (thank you, O2 :angry: ) and I was trying my best with 3G speeds :doh: Also, holding a big @$$ phone and a handheld digital camera is no easy feat :doh: I could see people carrying selfie sticks inside the arena so I don't know why small tripods are forbidden. If you ask me, the tripods could be placed on the floor in front of your seat and the camera could be stable whereas selfie sticks just hits you on the head (speaking from experience tonight as the idiots behind me kept on hitting me multiple times. I could see they weren't even fans but were just taking selfies and chatting away most of the time :rolleyes: ) I forgot to take my battery pack to recharge my phone so the stream just died when MHWGO started :cry:

 

As for tonight's show, she really did seem a bit tired and unenthusiastic in the beginning but somehow came back to her own self as the show progressed. She forgot her lines in IDAN but compensated it well. From where I was sitting, cos of the angle of the lighting in the wings of the stage, I could clearly see when she comes and goes, when she holds the mic and someone else is helping her with stuff etc. Which is why I could see that she's arranging herself and not singing the intro ad-libs of MHWGO cos I thought she did it live every night. :shocking: .It was weird to not see TSMGO as I think it flows quite well and I'd rather have that than LCMM. I absolutely can't stand it anymore tbh.

 

Anyway, sad that my Celine live trip has ended and now have to get back to the real world :cry: I'm going back to Frankfurt tomorrow but Berlin is beautiful and I can't wait to come back again soon. I was skeptical of her reception in Germany (the worst dates during the TCWT) but clearly surprised at the audience on both the nights. And as per the personnel who I asked whether tonight's show was sold-out or not, they said it was but when I said I could see people (most probably, scalpers) trying to sell the tickets outside the Arena right before the show, they said that it doesn't matter as the revenue will be counted on the number of tickets sold and NOT on how many attended. The seats did get filled right before she sang but I took and pic while Veronic was performing and it was an abysmal turn out until that point whereas, last night, it was already almost full even way before Veronic began her part and I was getting down to my seat.

 

Maybe next time if she tours Europe again, I'll try to get to one of the French shows as I would love to see her perform the French songs live. But I'm truly grateful for this experience, especially to Céline, for giving her fans so much of herself. There are so many singers/performers/divas/divos out there who barely give a damn but this woman gives her all despite being allegedly tired or whatever.

I am fully devastated that she has cut The Reason and The Colour of My Love! Those are hands down my two favourites in the English setlist. I'm not bothered about seeing Le Ballet. I mean, I'd be glad to see her do a second French song, just because I love French and she is a small part of the reason why, but not at the expense of my two favourite songs on the setlist. Devastated :(

 

If they're not brought back in the UK I will sorely miss them when I see her in London on Sunday.

I THINK that Celine performed less songs in Germany because her connection with the market is not that strong. Her last album to receive a certification there was One Heart, which just went Gold and that was 14 years ago! :cry: I am sure she has enough fans there to fill a stadium, but objectively speaking Germany has not supported her releases as much as France, the UK and Switzerland have.

 

If my speculation is correct, Celine is going to bring deleted songs back for the upcoming UK concerts.

 

I so, so hope that you are right. I think you might be, but obviously I don't want to get my hopes up.

welll , i have seen the Handmaid's tale , it f***** my way of thinking... great serie if you have the chance. Elisabeth Moss is a great actress. Edited by québecflower

BTW, striking the stage while people are still filing out is fairly common. We use to do it all the time in my stage-managing days.

And I think all the local stage crew get TSMGO shirts at every venue. Someone had posted this after the first show in Copenhagen (you can see they're marked for riggers and the caption says 'ready to tear down')-

With all the speculations and relationship rumors going around about her and Pepe...can you imagine how much that would intensify if she did Naked or Reveal? But I soooooooooo agree, LCMM and RDMH really need to go, though I know they won't be. And, also, I am very, very, did I say very, surprised you went. Last I knew, you lived in India, and though I am horrible at geography, I should have flunked it in high school but amazingiyl did not, India is a LOOOOOOOOOOOONG way from Germany. So I am very surprised you went, but, glad you seem to have had a good time. And yes, don't I know the Celine high. It is very hard to sleep that night and no, there is NOTHING like it!

It would be an interesting press actually, especially when those media runts are trying to link an allegedly gay man with her :laugh: Yes, I never liked LCMM and started despising it since she performed it awkwardly in Vegas.

You're going to my home country next month ^_^ Will you be just there in Bengaluru (it isn't Bangalore anymore and the locals of the city kinda take offence if you say that :P ) or are you going to other places, too? I'll be going back to India for the summer break until November, so if you'd travel up north to the capital, let me know and we could hang out and discuss Celine and Pepe :giggle:

 

No free Wifi in the arena?

 

I only discovered that Bercy had excellent wifi on my 4th and last concert lol. I had previously tried to go live through 4G but with no luck

Nope, no wifi whatsoever. Not to mention Germany's carriers are notorious for expensive LTE. I pay 30 Euros per month just for 5GB of LTE and then my speed gets throttled whereas for similar pricing, my friends in Austria get 20 GB of LTE. :down:

 

Four people in the row behind me tried to start that stupid chant last night .. Celine completely ignored it ;)

Yes, I saw some people bundling the wires wearing those when I went to collect my package in an inner room.

 

Well she has two days off. I wonder is she's staying in Germany or flying back

I think she's staying the night here tonight. Getting some more sausages, I guess :giggle:

I wouldn't.

Le Ballet is my favourite Celine song so the more we get it on stage (Pepe or not), the better.

 

Am sad about the loss of TCOML though.

Maybe, but this time they really hurried. Even Céline in the finał part of the concert cut off some of her talk, compared to the day before...

London Saturday & Sunday

 

Then I think Leeds on 2nd, Birmingham on 3rd & lastly my home town of Glasgow on 5th August.

One of the fans from last night said that Celine walked into the bar that they were in around 0230 and ordered a drink, a Pisco Sour. Cheers! :wine:
