balazsbalog Posted July 2, 2016 Posted July 2, 2016 Can some of you provide me with some information regarding the timing of doors opening, supporting act, Céline herself at her Paris concerts? (I will attend the concert on 7 July, Thursday) I would like to plan my arrival, so by when should I arrive to AccorHotels Arena? I have already read about the Vigipirate control (and I am happy about that), but I also don't want to be late or miss anything. Many thanks in advance. Quote

I have already read about the Vigipirate control (and I am happy about that), but I also don't want to be late or miss anything. Many thanks in advance. Hi. Well, the doors open if I recall correctly a little before 8 p.m. At least, that was the case for the 24th June concert. As soon as the gates open, you get in the arena pretty fast. The first concert I attended, I was there at 6:30, which I think was too early. I then had to wait to the line for more than an hour until the doors open, which was a bit tiring. Maybe the best solution is to be there around 7-7:30. The supporting act is Andre-Philippe Gagnon. He immitates famous singers. He was pretty good I should say and people enjoyed his performance. You should give it a try. His performance starts I think around 8:15 p.m. Otherwise, if you don't really care for the supporting act, it's better to go to the arena after 8 p.m when the majority of fans is already in the arena. I did that for the second concert I attended and noone was in the line (I was there at 8:30), so I got in the arena in two minutes. But I already knew where exacty to go etc. There are people outside and inside the arena of course, who can help you and they give instructions where to go according to your ticket. As for the security control, they ask you if you have a bottle of water or other drink with you so that you remove the cap. You also have to open your bag, if you carry one, and they also check it with a metal detector. And finally a fast control on your body, clothes. Still, the control goes fast. Then you are in...There is a nice boutique with Celine items in the hall. I had tickets in the orchestra section, so at least there was a boutique there. I guess it would be the same for the other gates too. You can also buy the tour book which costs 20 euros. And a small bottle of water for 3,5 euros! Celine got on the stage around 9 p.m. in the two concerts I attended. She was amazing of course and didn't leave the stage for a second. Just singing for us for almost two hours. Enjoy the concert on Thursday! 1 Quote Time flies...
balazsbalog Posted July 3, 2016 Author Posted July 3, 2016 chrisel, thank you so much for the detailed information.I'm spending 5 days in Paris, and I would like to use every second of my time in that beautiful city, so I don't want to loose time with unnecessary waiting, but I also don't want to miss a moment of our Céline. You helped me a lot. Quote

reamary Posted July 7, 2016 Posted July 7, 2016 Hi, I don't know if this information is any use for you anymore as you'll be attending the show tonight, but anyway. I attended the concert of 28th, and I went to the arena around 6-6.30 Pm and the doors to the arena were already open (or maybe had just opened), for the security control. So there were no lines, and the security control was very fast as Chrisel mentioned. Doors to the stage itself opened after 7 Pm as I remember sitting there for about 45 minutes before the opening act. After the opening act there was a pause of 20 minutes, so if you're fast you'll have time to go to the WC or buy something (I tried to go to the WC but the line for women's room was sooo long that I decided to drop that plan..). However, the pause really was 20 minutes and not a minute longer, so you really want to be back in less than 20 minutes to not miss Céline's arrival to the stage!! The concert ended a little before 11 Pm and it was pretty fast to get out there. However, obviously the metro was really crowded right after, but all in all it went fine. And yes the opening act was pretty great too, I think maybe the best so far of all the opening acts I've seen in any concert of any artist! I too spent a whole week in Paris, and it was great. It wasn't my first time there, but still I found it very enjoyable and as beautiful as always, and I already want to go back there. Enjoy your time in Paris, and have an amazing concert!!
