NO WAY!!! That's right before the Montreal concerts start! Wonder if I can get a ticket!

I don't want to bust your bubble, but this show is in end of August and the first show in Montreal is July 31st. The date for this benefit is at the end of all of her shows in Quebec. I wish I could go! <3 I am sure it would be extra special, but alas it's during the week.

It's ok! I was looking at the calendar on my office and using the google translate trying some way to make this happen before the Quebec shows instead of after.

I had the dates for the first time I saw Celine in Canada (for the TCWT) in my head back in 2008! LOL That was 31 Aug and 1 Sept 2008...I'm a few years off.

It's clear she didn't consult with you prior to choosing the date for this event. Maybe it's time to have a chat with her again and remind her we must be consulted before these decisions are made, hahaha

They just showed a clip on SALUT BONJOUR about Celine coming to Trois-Rivieres. It was very short, but they showed her singing WDMHBN from her return to Vegas concert after Rene's passing. It was exciting news.

Since this is going to be the third 'Céline Pour Les Enfants' concert, I wanted to take a look back at the two previous events:

 

· The very first 'Céline Pour Les Enfants' concert was celebrated on Friday, July 14, 2006 at the 'Le Mirage' Golf Club in Quebec.

· The show generated $ 1.5 million that were distributed between the Sainte-Justine Foundation, the Quebec Association against Cystic Fibrosis and the Celine Dion Foundation.

· Though we don't know which songs she sang, the presence of Garou and Marc Dupré makes it very possible that she sang Sous Le Vent and Tout Près Du Bonheur.

 

Here's the only pic we have from that night:

 

 

 

· The second 'Céline Pour Les Enfants' took place on August 19, 2011 at 'Le Mirage' Golf Club again.

· A gourmet dinner at Céline and René's Florida house was raffled, as well as a round of golf with René.

· Luc Plamondon attended the show.

· Véronic DiCaire was the opening act. She later sang J'irai où tu Iras as a duet with Céline.

· This time, the show raised $ 4 million for the Celine Dion Foundation.

“Céline pour les enfants” 2016th edition

 

Celine will give a benefit concert in Trois-Rivières, Québec at the Amphithéâtre Cogeco on August 30, 2016.

This will be the third installment of the “Céline pour les enfants” special concert events for the Fondation Céline Dion which is a non-profit organization that supports various charitable organizations and foundations with a special focus on helping sick or underprivileged children.

I think they old logo is part of the global 'Céline Pour Les Enfants' logo, they've been using it since the very first concert in 2006. That must be the reason why they're using it again now...
