Celine's studio album you listen to the least

I don't think she has bad albums, but I do think she has "best" and "worst" album. And I think Miracle is her "worst", because it's the least good of all even though it's still good. Perhaps I should have said "least good" instead of "worst"? I owe over 60 Celine releases in my collection... so please don't think I have bad intentions here. I'd say 'These Are Special Times'. Her voice was not up to par, very nasal, and the songs were...blah. Most songs are hard for me to hear.

1) I love them all too, but I think each artist has an album that is least good, and can be called "worst" in a language that is not euphemistic. And please don’t think I have any bad intentions here. I owe over 60 her of her releases, and attended her concerts twice, at Stade de French and Las Vegas. FYI most reasonable think that each artist has an album that is "worst". And I think Miracle is good, but the least good of her albums - which equals to "worst".

 

2) If you love of all Celine’s albums equally, why do you vote on polls for her "best" album? It’s reasonable that if there’s "best" album, there’s also "worst".

 

Sorry if that logic escapes you.

the word "worst" sounds to me so negative...do you know what I mean..I get the feeling like there aren't any good songs..and the entire album sucks...that's a personal opinion..I can't vote...

I really don't know what is Celine's best album...all of them are No. 1 to me but hey..this is just me..and my opinion

I'll admit there's a couple crappers, like Feliz Navidad, and Brahm's Lullaby, but her voice not up to par? Her voice wasn't nasal, it was a tad throaty. She hits amazing high notes on just about every song. And if you can tell me you can listen to "Ave Maria," and not get goosebumps from that amazing voice, strike me dead, Lord, here and now.

 

I don't ever listen to Dion Chante Plamondon. The songs sound weird, like they were made in a tin can. I prefer any live version of those songs to the studio ones.

Unison i smy least favorite album, there's not many songs that interests me except WDMHBN and If There Was Any Other Way.

Sure, she hit some notes, but on the whole, her voice was...ick. She was throaty, nasally, and even if she hit some good notes, it wasn't her normal quality. She sang this album like she sings many things live...with a collapsed throat. Whether it be from fatigue, laziness, or simply thinking it's a 'neat effect', that quality of her voice is definitely lost on me. Can't stand it. The Miracle album is on this side of things too, as it seems to have become her normal way of singing these days. She didn't use to sing this way 90% of the time like she does now.

 

And LVCeline, should you strike yourself dead, or should I do it for you? Ave Maria was ghastly, both her voice, and especially the pathetic arrangement they gave it. So what, you think lightning will strike you, or what's your preference? Your choice.

I voted for "Let's Talk About Love". This album has some brilliant songs, but most of them don't make any particular effect on me. Of course, I don't say it's a bad album.

WOW there are a lot of you who choose Unison. Personally I love this album. It's classic Celine, nasal and all.

 

I choose These Are Special Times but only because I only listen to it in the winter. I could also choose Falling Into You because I very rarely listen to it, I just don't think it is all that good.

Oops firstly I made a mistake i read the album you least listen to and when i voted and read the first post you are referring to the worst album! Personally I don't think she has a "worst" album I love them all but I voted for D'eux it's not the worst album but taken I was thinking about the album you least listened to well... taken over the past, let's say 4 months? I haven't listen to D'eux where as all the other albums i have at least listened to once over the past 4 months or so.

 

so she doesn't have a worst album but i voted purely on the basis in the last 4 or so months D'eux was the least album i listened to.

At least I think I did.

The album I listen to the least is LATL because I prefer to listen to others.

Thanks. I do know English, but it’s not my mother tongue so I often don’t express myself properly. I was a bit stunned when people thought that I suggested Celine has bad record, or something like that. It makes me look like I’m one of the people who dislike Celine, when in fact I’m a very devoted fan. I just love Celine, and I don’t want anyone to think that I have any hostile feelings toward her or her work. It’s not true!

 

I just don’t like Miracle that much, and I listen to it least… which for me makes it her least good album. And I’m not a big fan of Unison or One Heart either. But that still leaves me with 10 out of 13 of her studio albums to listen! And I listen to them a lot. I actually had to buy 2nd copy of DCP and D’eux, because I wore their CD off and couldn’t play some tracks anymore!
