scielle Posted September 15, 2015 at 12:13 PM Posted September 15, 2015 at 12:13 PM So I've always found that Celine, like many artists, interviews much better on radio than on TV. There's just something about not having to worry about looking good for the camera. I really enjoyed the two interviews she did with the BBC, for instance, around the time of the release of LMBTL (sadly, both now expired on the BBC site).Problem is, while there are YouTube videos galore out there, radio interviews seem to be much harder to find. Hence this thread. If you find a good one, please share the link here - thanks! 2 Quote
Koolan Posted September 17, 2015 at 03:05 AM Posted September 17, 2015 at 03:05 AM Nice thread. She did an interview for Z100 back in 2007. I agree with you that her radio interviews seem to be better than on TV. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pwtWDkJ6R60 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fqycHMvEphE https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=q-6JVR9Z9RQ 5 Quote Please support the forum by ordering through our Amazon.com referral link below. scielle Posted September 17, 2015 at 12:04 PM Author Posted September 17, 2015 at 12:04 PM Aw this is great - thanks! She really wanted to do that Callas thing, didn't she. Bummer that it didn't work out. I remember reading the script to this at the time when Celine was attached to it a few years ago (I use to work in film finance and one of our clients was considering coming in as a producer, so I had to evaluate the project), but I think it's changed quite a bit since then. In fact, I think it pretty much got a complete rewrite. Curious to see what comes of it. 1 Quote

And adorable! Interesting that she wanted to do musicals at the time. Quote

Celine Fan 77 Posted March 26, 2016 at 09:48 AM Posted March 26, 2016 at 09:48 AM (edited) Here's an interview with Céline on the radio station 'Radio Liberté' from 1984. The show was called 'Le Québec Vous Dit Bonjour'. She mainly talks about her desire to have a solid career in France after her first performance there at the MIDEM with D'amour ou D'amitié. AND there's a very interesting part when she mentions her projects: she had time to practice certain sports and she was taking piano lessons in order to create her own songs. I wonder what happened... She has said in one or two interviews that she "doesn't play", but of course we've seen clips of her doing just that. Pretty basic stuff, but still. I wonder. 1 Quote

It's nice listening to these; she was in a really happy place at the time. Edited March 27, 2016 at 11:59 PM by scielle 2 Quote
