To be honest this is one of the songs that made me a diehard fan and the video is awesome, though i guess the goal was to make it simply hard, not even die hard. Gosh i wish we could have this video in HD.

Love comes to those who believe it...

I've always liked this song. I used the intro as a ring tone for a while. She talks about it in the Star Profile interview, how she made her voice whispery "you say you still don't know...." I've always thought it was very pretty, and a nice antithesis to the heavier ballads on the album.

I would also love to see the video in HD ASAP!!!!!!!!

I adore this song very much! And the remix of the song aint bad either! :-D

It's a big shame this single got cancelled in favour of When I Fall In Love :(

I think if it was more promoted, Céline could have had a sexier image in the mid 90s!

As much as I agree with this, I also think if Celine had a sexier image in the 90s, she may have never been considered for her biggest hit -- "My Heart Will Go On." It's my belief, whether I understand the reasons or not, that everything happens for a reason. Had "Did You Give Enough Love" been promoted, she may not have become as huge as she is today. If "My Heart Will Go On" hadn't happened, we could have quite possibly not had any of the great things that came after her early English albums. It really is crazy to think how each business decision, even if it appears small and/or insignificant, can truly impact one's career in a tremendously positive or negative way. Choosing to record "Beauty And The Beast" was an insanely positive decision. Releasing "Goodbye's (The Saddest Word)" as a single off of "A New Day Has Come" was a horribly bad decision which killed the album immediately. Good times. LOL

I don't think she needed MHWGO to be big as she is now

before LTAL went on sale they has already sold 10 million of copies of that album

and sometimes i wish she would never record MHWGO

her hiatus career star with TCOML and FIY

I love her earlier English career, better than nowadays, the performances were live now are lipped

The long dark hair is so sexy

Like I always say MHWGO is a blessing and a curse for her career. It would have been interesting to see how her career would have developed without this song.

Though MHWGO is her best selling (and best known) single... I don't regard it as the biggest achievement in her career.

Well she would have had her break after the FIY tour if MHWGO hadn't have appeared. Who knows what her career would have been like then! 😉

I don't think so. She released LTAL album before MHWGO took off. They started planning LTAL when it was clear FIY was a mega success. When the album came out people were still saying the movie was going to sink. Nobody could have predicted MHWGO would become so massive. But I think she would have started her break earlier in 1999 after the LTAL world tour without the Titanic hype. I think the LTAL tour would have been a bit shorter than it ended up being.

Arggghhhhhhhh. I want to relive 1995-1999 all over again. She was so massive and I was so proud to be a fan of the biggest pop star on the planet. I remember in December 1997 LTAL hadn't been out long and it already sold over 10 million and wasn't slowing down. Even then that was a big deal.

I wouldn't want to change the MHWGO success. It was amazing living through that period as a fan. And it was amazing even before that when it was just the FIY album following the delayed international TCOML mega-success. She sold a crapload of albums between 1994 and 2000. It was unreal! And she did it without being too naked, and causing controversy.

No I think that's wrong. The FIY tour was meant to be for a year but was extended. During the tour she did the MHWGO demo etc,so Sony wanted a Celine album to hopefully capitalise on the success of Titanic and the song. And it was only once they were committed to Titanic that they put the word out that Celine was recording a new album. Yes Celine's album came out before the film but only by a few months.
