comingback Posted February 22, 2024 at 06:17 PM Posted February 22, 2024 at 06:17 PM (edited) I've always been very curious about Nur Das Leben, mainly because of the fact that it doesn't belong to any album or single, unlike Celine's other German recordings (Was Bedeute Ich Dir and Mon Ami Geh Nich Fort, were both included on the German 'D'amour ou D'amitié' single in 1983 and Hand in Hand was released as a commercial single in Germany in 1988). The only explanation that comes to my mind is that this recording of Nur Das Leben leaked through the internet at a certain moment and it was supposed to be part of an entire album Celine was recording in German between late 1986 and early 1987, before coming up with the idea of 'Incognito'. Céline herself talked about this project during an interview at the Quebec show 'Star D'un Soir' in Christmas of 1986 and even sang a bit of Nur Das Leben acapella. The video used to be on YouTube but was recently removed. I'll post it again over the coming days on the multimedia section of my website www.celinedionspain.com so you can all download it She was in Germany in 1986 and recorded new German songs (I think Nur Das Leben was one of the songs). The album was never released because of the Sony deal (Incognito, Unison..). The rest is history. She also filmed the video for Fais Ce Que Tu Voudras in Germany. I've reread her 1998 official biography mentioning she did some TV shows in Germany to promote her "Was bedeute ich Dir" SP. So I renew my question here, as we don't have any video, do any German people here remember watching Celine on TV when they were young. Quote

I remember having a copy of it on a CD and the quality was abysmal. But it was cool to hear. Unfortunately I lost the bulk of my collection---so I no longer have it. But no sign of this appearance can be found on internet. We don't even have the name of the show, so difficult to made some research.
