piglot82 Posted July 14, 2005 at 05:34 PM Posted July 14, 2005 at 05:34 PM Hey everyone,I'm going to buy a computer for my house but I don't really know where to start. I am not very computer literate and would like some advice on what to buy.I'm looking to try to stay in the $800.00 USD range if possible and I would like to make sure it has enough memory and space to hold my Celine stuff along with school and some other stuff. I also want it to have a duel deck CD-DVD burner. What would you all recommend? What opperating system should I look for? (Windows XP?)I was looking at the Dell computers online but I wasn't sure if they were good. HELP!! Quote http://i18.photobucket.com/albums/b119/Piglot82/heartsig1.jpg
VanMerlin Posted July 14, 2005 at 07:26 PM Posted July 14, 2005 at 07:26 PM Myself and others I know have had many problems with Dell. Be careful and do a lot of searching, especially for reviews. Quote
Koolan Posted July 15, 2005 at 02:23 AM Posted July 15, 2005 at 02:23 AM I'm currently using a Dell laptop and desktop at home. They are very affordable and of good quality, highly recommended. In fact, I just helped one of my cousins order a Dell laptop earlier today. In the past, I've ordered a few Dells for other family members They should be enough to suit your needs, make sure you visit the deal sites for promotions/coupons to save more. Good luck on your search. Quote Please support the forum by ordering through our Amazon.com referral link below. Click here to go to the Amazon homepage.
