neilg Posted October 14, 2014 at 05:41 PM Posted October 14, 2014 at 05:41 PM I'm going to Amsterdam for a couple of weeks in December for work. I've never been to the Netherlands before, and I hope I get some free time to explore. So far, I have to go to Amsterdam, IJmuiden, and Soest. Can anyone suggest places to go, things to see, places to go for dinner? Thanks! Quote
Jessyka Posted October 16, 2014 at 12:24 PM Posted October 16, 2014 at 12:24 PM I've been to Amsterdam, in 2008, with my best friend. We went to see Celine and it was amazing. We spent 2 days there, but we didn't have money, so we didn't have the chance to do many things. I remember walking a lot, going to Madame Tussauds and eating at McDonalds. But I really liked it there and I would love to go back. I hope someone who's from Amsterdam will see your thread and post some good tips for you. There is a good public transport in The Netherlands! Here's a link for the trains: http://www.ns.nl/en/travellers/home And if you want a door to door planning, you can use this site: http://9292.nl/en# Quote http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v75/daveyh84/incognito198701_zpsaaootxh1.jpgRick, ik hou van jou voor altijd!A New Day... has come 28/29 April & 2/3 May 07Antwerpen 13 et 14 mai,Paris 24 et 25 mai, Amsterdam 2 juinet Arras 7 juillet Chances Taken!!!How Do You Keep The Music Playing? - Celine Opening Night March 15th, March 16th
Yentl Anchel Posted October 21, 2014 at 08:13 PM Posted October 21, 2014 at 08:13 PM I don't drive on the Continent. Too confusing! Remember, you may drive on the right side of the road, but on the continent (mainland of Europe) we drive on the right side of the road. But really I know how confusing it can be, I still remember my first trip to London, I almost got hit by a bus, if it not was for my friend who shouted BUS on the right! So the way you feel when you are on the continent is the same as I feel when I'm in Britten.
